List of Ross Heil's Reviews
My first impression with this doctor was not the best. His office would not see me even though I had a very serious issue that required a specialists attention. I even had another doctor call to get me a referral. After calling the office several times and explaining my symptoms and the nurse would give me no answers I told them I would have to go to the ER. She told me because of Covid I probably should not go. I had no choice- went to the ER that night and found out I had the very serious C-Diff. It was only then he would meet with me. When I first met him he seemed amazing. Then after the treatments he was offering was not fixing the problem and I also ended up in the hospital, my family doctor had to corner one of his staff in the break room and requested that someone help me. They still did not get anything accomplished and after six months finally had to go to Indianapolis to get the proper care. I was disappointed because it felt like he just didn’t want to be my DR.
Dr. Heil was very sensitive to my concerns. He was vey caring and compassionate. The dr and office staff were all very kind and never made me feel uncomfortable. Dr. Heil made sure I understood what we were discussed and answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend his office.
He was caring, listened to my concerns, and did great explaining my situation to me. I highly recommend him!
One of the best Gastro docs I have had. He listened to us. Explained things. Took the time to figure out what he thought was going on. I have had a lot of health issues and he is willing to keep at it. He isn't just going to stick a bandage on it. He wants to help solve it. He made me feel like I was important, like he wasn't there to make money; he was there to find a way to help me feel better.
Had a terrible experience with him. Had 1 meeting with him that lasted about 5-10 minutes tops. Didn’t seem to really care about the issues my wife was experiencing. Both of us looking for answers and things we can do to prevent. Like talking to a wall. Didn’t get anything from the meeting for how much we had to pay. Told us to come back in 4 months to reevaluate situation when the situation was very serious. Then we get a phone call from a nurse saying that he doesn’t want to meet, and he’s pushing us off to someone else. Thanks for making us feel important.
Dr Heil is very passionate about his profession. He is a very caring physician. He has impeccable knowledge, gives you thorough explanations and options and is very personable. I have recommended him to my family and friends, whom all feel the same as I do about him after their interaction.
Dr Heil is professional, knowledgeable, and shows Compassion. He spends time answering questions and a member of his staff follows up. When I call in, I have always gotten a return call within a reasonable amount of time. Nothing but a 5-star doctor and staff!
Professional, knowledgeable, cares about patients. Explained procedure, answered final questions prior to procedure, followed up in Recovery. Followed up to explain test results. Highly recommended Dr.Heil and staff!
Dr. Heil is a very caring and great doctor, when you can actually be seen. I waited two months to be seen the first time as a second opinion. I didn’t realize this was the norm. I have been in contact with his phone nurse who is exceptional to try and resolve my issues. I was told to go on a waiting list in October since I couldn’t get an appointment until January. Symptoms are worse so I call to get in, and I’m now told mid February. It’s very frustrating when you’re in pain and can’t be seen.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
