Dr Dye, for my young adult son’s physical, didn’t order regular labs like a cbc but instead only ordered tests designed to diagnose sexually transmitted diseases. Called her multiple times to hear her side but she couldn’t spare the time.

Dr. Dye scheduled me for an appointment at 2:30 pm on 09/09/21. I received a text message confirming that the appointment is at 2:30 pm and stating, "Be 15 minutes early." Realizing that I was going to cut the time closely, I called ahead at about 12:45pm to say I may arrive at exactly 2:15 pm because I have a tight schedule. The clerk assured me that my appointment is not until 2:30 pm; as long as I arrived early to fill out paperwork, I would be just fine. I pulled into the parking lot at 2:20 pm and arrived to her desk at 2:23 pm. There I was told that I was late and that Dr. Dye would not see me. I was floored. "You've got to be kidding me," I said to the clerk. I explained that I called ahead and was told it was okay as long as I arrived early to fill out paperwork. As we dialogued, Dr. Dye walked out herself and asked if there is a problem. I asked her if her time was so much more valuable than mine that she would not see me having arrived 7 minutes early to her appointment. Dr. Dye confidently looked me in the eye and said, "yes, it is." I asked if I could schedule with a different doctor and was told I would have to leave and call in. Dr. Dye then personally said, "I am going to have to ask you to leave now." I could not believe that this woman felt so above me that she could not find the time to see me having arrived 7 minutes before my appointment and 8 minutes after the "15 minutes early" that was requested of me. However, she was happily willing and able to spend 5 minutes walking to the front desk to tell me her time was more valuable than mine and showing me the door. Asking or even telling patients to arrive 15 minutes early is different than making it abundantly clear to patients that they will not be seen unless they arrive 15 minutes early, no less. She and her office had multiple opportunities to communicate to clearly communicate this to me: 1. When I scheduled 2. In their text confirmation 3. When I called ahead to let them know I was on a tight schedule They failed to do so and made clear that I am of little value both to them and compared to them. Do not schedule an appointment with this woman. She lacks communication skills, empathy and compassion to a point of unfathomability.

I waited two and a half months for my first appointment with Dr. Dye. I had an 11 am appointment and was in the parking lot at 10:57 am. The staff informed me I would have to reschedule my appointment because I wasn't there 15 minutes prior. I explained it wasn't my fault I was late because the text message address link they sent, took me to Mishawaka instead of Granger. Further, I explained my paperwork was filled out in advance and mailed to their office. They told me the best they could do was reschedule me for 3 pm that day but I would have to come in now to complete the paperwork. By this time, I was so frustrated with their inflexibility and felt as if this medical practice treated patients like a cattle call. I decided to not reschedule and was better off finding another doctor more accommodating to care for my health. Luckily, I'm healthy and this visit was merely to establish a good working relationship with a doctor if a true medical emergency happened in the future.

The last time he saw her, she gave him a 2-minute exam and prescribed allergy medicine. Two days later, he went to the hospital on his own (not her recommendation), and he was diagnosed with pneumonia and admitted for a week. Her negligence could have cost him his life.

Dr. Dye did an extremely poor job treating my father. He had a severe cough for months, during which period he saw her several times. The last time he saw her, she gave him allergy medicine after a 2-minute exam. Two days later, he went to the hospital on his own (not her recommendation) and was admitted for a week. She was rude and showed no concern for his condition.

Dr Dye is intelligent, great bedside manner, not an alarmist, listens, and is proactive. She earns a five star rating with every visit!
