I’m not generally a fan of county hospitals, but I have to brag about Decatur County Hospital today. We didn’t have anyone to watch my toddler, so we had to bring her to the hospital with us for my procedure. After being treated horribly at Margaret Mary last week (I was in the ER twice, and finally admitted) we were prepared for them to be total jerks about having to bring her in, but they were so sweet. They kept her busy with snacks, drinks and a coloring book and toy. The nurses acted like they actually wanted to be there helping people, much unlike MMCH! Totally recommend DCMH over MMCH any day!! Best nurses and doctors around.

Need to teach there nurses and doctors about mental health issues. Not all of them are bad but there are some nurses that just shouldn't be working anymore.

I came in a few years ago with a high fever. They gave me a flu test and sent me home. My feverCame back and I went in to Septic Shock. I went to Columbus hospital instead and they admitted me right away but it was too late. I ended up losing two toes from lack of blood flow. I almost died because Decatur county just wants to get people in and out as quickly as possible and really don't care for the patients.

If you are going to the ER, don’t waste your time. I would highly recommend going to Columbus regional, instead.

Doctors, nurses and staff were all great! I stayed overnight after total knee replacement surgery. Everyone I came in contact with did their best to make sure my stay there was a good experience. They are professional, proud and have great worker chemistry. I highly recommend them. Thank you all for making my stay in your hospital a wonderful experience!

I will never be able to express how grateful I am for my Doctor (Natasha Struewing) and for all of the staff at the hospital that have helped me today. Some medical problems are truly embarrassing and degrading to have to keep talking about and have test done for. They all eased my mind, made me comfortable and helped me in every way that they could. The ladies in the lab and radiology were so kind, gentle and compassionate. You truly don't get that kind of care everywhere.

Everyone in the ER is amazing. I’ve had 2 of my babies here, both experiences were amazing. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. ☺️

This hospital is amazing. All the Doctors and nurses and staff. We use the outpatient clinic and wound care. Have had many test done there too. We have also moved all our RX to their Pharmacy. So much cheaper on price along with extremely helpful and kind people.
