I had excess skin removed from both my eyes, so I could see better and to make my eyes symmetric. My eyes are not symmetrical and I have some major scares on my eyelids. I had the surgery done 2 months ago.

I am amazed by some of the criticisms of Dr. Pesavento on here. My husband and I scheduled appointments with him after our long-time prior ophthalmologist retired. We both felt comfortable with and confident in his care after our first visits. He is friendly, comfortable as an old shoe, thorough and down to earth. The experience of my first recent cataract surgery was such that I didn't dread the second one at all. He even followed up with check-up calls the evenings of both surgeries. Dr. Pesavento is a very good eye doctor and his choice of Community South to perform my cataract surgeries was a bonus.

I am 86 years old, have trouble hearing and Doctor Pesavento was very patient and took time to explain my problem. I appreciated him very much.

The front staff is very rude both on the phone and in person. The front desk women made the entire appt uncomfortable. Sure, the doctor did the bare minimum but his staff couldn’t even manage that. Would not recommend unless you have endless patience and thick skin.

Waited for 3 months to be seen about loss of vision in my left eye. I was never contacted by them to confirm the appointment. The receptionist told me they didn't know what I was being seen for and had all incorrect information in their computer. The level of incompetence at this practice is staggering.
