Seeing how the website advertised this place as a men's health clinic, I came in looking to get a routine physical and blood analysis. The staff seemed confused or something about why I was there despite filling out the questionnaire. Communication could have been a little better.I have a very bad fear of getting blood drawn, and the phlebotomist was unable to handle a patient with my level of anxiety. After failing to get a successful draw the first time, she switched to the other arm and I felt a sharp pain (which shouldn't happen). I said some interjection like "oouff!" and she immediately threw a fit, and said that if I'm going to behave that way she's not going to take my blood. She then complained that she doesn't have another place to stick me now then left the room. This shouldn't have been an issue since there should be more places she could have drawn, and I expected her to act a little more professionally. She made my anxiety quite a bit worse by having such a hot temper.At the end of the day this place has an agenda to sell testosterone replacement therapy, and I didn't get the sense they were equipped to comment on a broader spectrum of health problems. The nurse practitioner (there is no medical doctor here) was friendly and gave me an overview of the previous week's blood test, but next time I think it would be worthwhile to go through the hassle of finding and scheduling a general practitioner with IU Health or Community.
