Probably a good surgeon but horrible bedside manner. Needs a class on listening and pleasantness. Dr Murphy gives the impression that to answer your questions are beneath him.

Skin cancer screening should take more than 60 seconds. Did not check my chest, back, shoulders, only looked quickly at my face, arms and front of legs. Didn't used to be this way but I won't be going back.

I have read some of these "reviews" and think they are ridiculous - who cares how much time is spent with you or how he understands your problems?! I just want him to cut out my cancer! He is an excellent surgeon and cut out a cancer on my nose many years ago, and placed a skin graft which is not perceptible - I don't want him to "spend time with me." Go to church! I now have a suspicious spot and will hopefully go back to him. Mark Faith, MD

Very brusque, spoke very little to me. There was no Covid prescreening done in his office and patients were seated elbow to elbow in a very crowded office. Even the use of masks were not required. I was told before my appointment that I would be expected to pay my portion on the day of service but instead of being 800$ it was over 1000$. I will say as a surgeon he is very skilled my basal cell scar is very simple and barely noticeable. But his bedside manner has a long way to go.

I will not be returning as a patient. With an attempt to be "efficient" and bill for as many patients as possible in a day, Dr. Murphy offered me a minuscule amount of time and attention - 60 seconds at most? Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this office based on my poor experience.

His office price gouges and doesn’t tell you on the phone that you would be charged like a outpatient surgery center when everything is done in his office. They move you to 3 different rooms and you get charged for every room. You are not told that till they take you back. Then they want you to pay in advance what the insurance don’t cover and if you don’t have all of it then you have to pay half then get on a payment plan. They don’t even know what the contract amount is with the insurance co. So they just give you an estimate until they bill the insurance they don’t have a clue what the insurance will pay! Will take my business elsewhere. Thanks for wasting my time!!!!!!!

The doctor and his staff were very pleasant and efficient. I have some medical background. The excision and closure were done very skilfully. The assistants were equally professional.

I was impressed with how nice everyone was. Dr. Murphy made me feel comfortable with the procedure. He even called me at 8pm that evening to see how I was doing. I am so glad it went to him. I will recommend him to others.

Dr. Murphy and his staff were very caring during my appointment this week. I have a tendency to have a vasovagal response during some medical treatments. I felt my blood pressure drop and got very hot and sweaty during the stitching procedure. Dr. Murphy and his staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure I felt comfortable. They knew exactly what to do to keep me from fainting. Dr. Murphy and Kim were so reassuring during the whole procedure. Dr. Murphy even gave me a follow up call that evening!
