List of Navin Kumar's Reviews
Make sure to record all of your appointments, because he will lie to you. He will lie about his plan of care, and he will lie about his follow-up care.
I ended up with an abscess from a procedure he performed, and it took 8 days to hear back from his office. I called and emailed several times. He even told me before and after the procedure he would follow up, but he didn't. His nurse practitioner told me he would call me the following day, but it took 8 days to hear from his office. My primary care provider even reached out and it took several days to hear back from his office. Now I have scar tissue from the abscess. It also took 15 days to get a refill from his office. Asking him to be held accountable for his actions is clearly too much for him to handle as a doctor, and he tried to gaslight me by blaming me as a patient.
All Good
The doctor is okay, he did take his time to listen to me at first. Then as months went by I started getting treated like just a number and he could not help me anymore to figure out my issues. The girls in the office and that answer the phones are always rude! I feel it is not very professional on them or his part to have such bad attitude people working in a medical office. They never call the patients back either. I have been waiting on a call for over a year now. I am very disappointed things did not work out with these people, but I definitely would not recommend anyone to go to this doctor unless you want to be treated just like a paycheck for them.
I went and called on kumar because I was not able to swallow my food or drinks anymore and I was becoming starved and dehydrated. I was ordered by Kumar to get a endoscopy. The order said “endoscopy with possible dilation of esophagus”. I get to the endoscopy and no dilation of the esophagus happened. After the endoscopy, he spent a total of maybe 30 seconds in the recovery room simply telling me “you have a hiatal hernia”. He did not give any solution, any treatment, anything. He diagnosed me and simply left. I called the office with his rude staff and they told me to follow up with an ENT even though the issue is clearly gastro related. The final straw is when a day later I had to go back to the hospital for dehydration and not being able to be eat or swallow ANYTHING. I contacted the emergency voice machine which ended up calling him , he told the lady to tell me there was nothing he could do for me and follow up in 2 weeks. So pretty much starve and dehydrate for two weeks ? If you’re considering coming to this doctor, please take note that your issues are not worth his time or more outside of an initial visit or procedure. Stay away from this gastro doctor and his terrible staff who purposely ignore phone calls
I really like Dr. Kumar but getting in to see him when you have an issue is impossible. The wait in the office is outrageous and his staff is not friendly or caring. When I have an issue I should be able to see my doctor in a reasonable amount of time not months out. It is upsetting and scary to not be able to be seen when you are sick and it could be something life threatening.
I am so pleased to have randomly picked Dr. Kumar over one year ago to perform my colonoscopy! Not only did he find an issue that was successfully resolved, he has a great way of communicating the very technical aspects and answering ALL of your questions. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and appreciate everything he has done for me!!
Really did nothing for me. Never addressed my hietal hernia. Just wanted to order more procedures w/o giving a reason.
Dr Kumar is too busy to give any real thought to his patients problems. Been going there for 9 months for a serious gastro issue that is worsening and affecting cardiac rhythms now. Spends about 2 minutes on each visit that are always scheduled 1 to 2 months apart. Orders a new test or med each time rather than working with you to get a quick diagnosis. Last time handed me off to a nurse practioner assistant. Doesn't really listen to you, just orders another test or med. If you have a simple issue probably a good doctor. If you need real diagnostics go somewhere else.
Pathetic, Dr Kumar seemed to care a little more when I first saw him, did a procedure results came in 2 weeks and yet didn't hear back from his office for almost 4 weeks until I called enquiring about this, and spoke to one of the most annoying staff, even had the audacity to say I denied to make a follow up appointment, why would I deny to make a follow up appointment after the procedure??? When I want to know what the problem is with my gut, doesn't make sense or does it? You do a procedure and you deny to see the Doctor for a follow up??? I mean come on and do right... If I knew I was not going to bother with this office in the first place. Changing my Doctor immediately.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
