List of Asoka Seiichi Ratnayake's Reviews
When Dr. Fogle retired, opted for Dr. Ratnayake. I find him knowledgeable, personable and he takes his time with the appointment. Four other family members also go to him and we all feel he does a good job.
Dr. Ratnayake is very knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. I feel very confident in his care. He is neither an alarmist nor is he one to ignore a concern. He has recommended some specialists who are also very good.
Unexceptable Can never get u in when u r sick. His nurse always diagnosed me over the phone. Had bronchitis and called 2 c if I could get in and no appts. available or with any of the other docs in this practice His nurse told me it was just a virus and she and her kids had this 4 a month. I knew what I had so I went 2 nora immediate care and they diagnosed me with bronchitis and put me on Levaquin and a round of prednisone. Another time I had a sinus infection I called 2 c if I could get an antibiotic and she said he never prescribes meds unless u r seen. Well he can never seem 2 get u in. What irritates me the most is I had a 25 year history with my former Dr. Who retired at age 58. So this so called dr. had 25 years of history on me and could c that. The last straw with him was I have an anxiety disorder and called 2 c if he could help me. Nurse said he could do a virtual visit in 5 days. That's it 4 him and I and would never reccomend him 2 anyone...not even my dog!
Takes the time needed to answer questions and explain things. Seem very current on medical technology. Sometimes he can be too technical, and you may need to ask him to explain in "common / everyday" language.
Don't disagree with this Dr.
Dr. Ratnayake takes the time to really talk to you about your life, lifestyle, general concerns, aches/pains, etc. I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes and if I would have to wait, I would know it's because he's taking the time with patients that I would want myself.
Avoid at all cost. Waited 1.5 hours and then was told it would be another 1 hours. A true joke.
This doctor misread my test results (he did not instruct me to fast) and then triggered an anxiety attack by yelling at me about, of all things, amputations! I confirmed with another, more experienced doctor that the diabetic ulcers on my ankles were being well care-for at home and healing. He tried repeatedly to send me to a wound care clinic that would have been an unnecessary expense. Instead of scaring and threatening his patients, he might want to learn to speak to them civilly first!
Today was my first Appointment with Dr. Ratnayake. I was recently involved in a car accident. My back an shoulder are messed up from the accident. My job is strenuous I am a Field Manager for a Promotional and Events company. I am required to be in the field 75% of my day setting up lifling bending stopping etc. It's absolutely No Way I can perform the duties of my job. I am not sure what part of that this doctor failed to understand! He indicates that he is releasing me back to work as of today (I don't even have full use of my right arm, and can barely walk at times because of the back pain. I told him it is absolutely no way I can perform the duties of my job. This man had the audacity to tell me to ask if I can go in and do desk work??? Their is no Desk Work in my position. Should I tell the secretary to possibly get up out of her seat because I will be taking her job? I swear this was the dumbest thing I ever experienced!
I have seen a lot of doctors in my day and this doctor is by far the worst. God forbid you need a medication refill - he is obviously paranoid about prescribing medication and simply does not refill it and gives no explanation. What kind of doctor denies Fosamax to an elderly patient riddled with osteoaporosis? None that I know of except for this doctor. Heaven forbid he ages someday and has the awful condition himself...then he will understand. He is young and does not have empathy for elderly people. If you have nothing wrong with you, he will suffice but if you have any chronic conditions, I suggest you find yourself a real doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
