Dr James seems to really listen & is generally just a good guy!
Drove from Fort Wayne to see Dr. James. I have to say I was a little worried as to the turn out of my visit with my functional movement disorder, however, upon my session with Dr. James I was extremely pleased with the information he gave and what he recommended I do in my next steps of finding away to help manage my disorder Thank you Dr. James
We moved from Florida where the patient was being treated at the University of South Florida for Huntington's disease. We were wanting to see a different doctor but needed to have medication refilled. Dr James was speaking to the patient and caretaker with a demeaning attitude. He said much of what the professor at USF was incorrect. The Dr from USF had been treating the patient for years. Dr James said he was not going to change the patient's meds. However, when we were notified by the pharmacist that he indeed did change the medication. This was going to cause adverse effects. After the appointment and the medication mistake the family, patient, and caretaker no longer felt comfortable with Dr James. We asked to have a different doctor and you won't believe IU's answer. They said no. They said they saw no reason to change doctors. Partially due to the lifestyle change Dr James wanted her condition quickly became more serious. The patient ended up checking into a behavioral hospital. In our opinion this could have been prevented if Dr James had not made the lifestyle changes. Needless to say the patient no longer See's Dr James and we travel back to her previous Dr at University of South Florida. We might have stayed with IU if the hospital and Doctor would have let us see a different doctor.
Dr James did not listen to patient or caretaker. He made medication changes that the pharmacist caught and stopped as there could have been serious problems. IU and Dr James refused to let patient see a different doctor even though patient and family wanted different doctor die to having no confidence in Dr James. Patient is now traveling to a University of South Florida to see prior doctor.
I don't know about anyone who reads this, but I can't find one neurologist that works with nerves in Indiana. Yes, you read it right. In fact most doctors in Indiana don't specialize in their title. Just send you off to another doctor and so on and so on. This guy is the biggest disappointment in the history of medicine. A year to get in and never bothered to review my medicals records. Asks cryptic or condescending questions. Avoids the issues you have. Should have his medical license revoked. GREG F. of 2-5-19.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
