Dragos Sabau's Online Review Report Card

He was courteous and professional. Explained my options to me and is helping me get to the bottom of my problem.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sabau's for almost 15 year . He has always be kind, courteous, and deeply concerned for not just my neurological health but my overall well-being. He's seen me through some difficult health issues and has made time to explain the situation, treatments, possible outcomes and potential benefits. Dr. Sabau has vast medical knowledge and taken time to stay current with new treatments and medications. Though I see him semiannually now he remembers my family and events taking place in my life. He is a consummate professional who provides outstanding care for his patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Sabau for several years and have always been treated with caring and respect. He doesn't talk down to you but is more than willing to explain anything you don't understand. Great guy.

my experience was awful. they misdiagnosed me as having an anxiety disorder despite 4 EEGs being abnormal and refused to order the test i asked for even laughed and told me it was rare. another neurologist ordered the test and it came back positive for an autoimmune epilepsy and anti VCKG causing the symptoms i was having. the misdiagnosis and not taking me seriously has really wrecked my life. i wish they would take patients seriously and go back to medical school and learn a few more things. 

Today was the third appointment I have had with Dr.Sabau and I cannot fully express all the positive qualities he possesses as an epileptologist. He is extremely intelligent, caring and professional. I have never had a doctor willing to spend as much time as I needed to ask all the questions and discuss concerns I had without feeling rushed. He asked me several times throughout my appointment if there was anything more I needed to discuss with him. Furthermore, he is exceptionally knowledgeable about epilepsy. He is the most trustworthy doctor I have been a patient of and I will continue to see him regarding my epilepsy. Dr.Sabau is by far the best doctor I have ever had and unfortunately these reviews cannot do justice to him regardless of how positive they are. I highly recommend him!!!

Our son had his first Grand-Mal seizure at the age of 10 while we were living in Arkansas. A few months later we moved to Terre Haute and his seizures evolved into a whole new type we had never seen. We described them to a local neurologist and he sent us to Dr. Sabau. This Dr. is the best there is if you child or loved one has Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (which is what our son was diagnosed as having). He is so honest, open and caring. Our son is also autistic and non-verbal. Dr. Sabau has broken through the language barrier with our son and is just so perfect with him. It is really difficult to find a Dr., especially a specialist who is willing to listen to every concern a parent has and also be so patient with the parents and the child. And his office staff, especially his nurse, Bill are beyond wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this Dr. Other dr.'s told us our son wouldn't live 6 months when he was diagnosed. He is now 14 and a half and thriving. That is all Dr. Sabau.

My husband has epilepsy that is very difficult to treat. His first doctor, instead of admitting she didn't know how to help, abandoned him in his time of greatest need. Dr. Sabau took over and we have been extremely pleased. He spent a LOT of time listening to us, carefully considering our responses, answered every question and backed up his answers with research. He has excellent bedside manner and gave an honest assessment- even when it was not the best of news. He has a gentle manner and truly communicates care and concern. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
