Your billing system and patient financial services are a joke. Currently waiting on hold for over 2 hours to sort a bill that was paid 6 weeks ago, but got assigned to the wrong invoice.

How many times has this happened to you? This is at the IU Health Methodist Medical Plaza South on the lab side. This is the second time I have experienced work vehicles parked illegally in the accessible spaces, but it's a first coming from an IU Health employee in an IU Health vehicle! As I'm taking photos of his vehicle he comes out and has the audacity to tell me he is just doing his job. Well, Michael with IU Health Pathology Lab, your job isn't to break the law, park across multiple accessible spaces and a wheelchair loading zone at a medical facility! He even had the gaul to ask me my name and got upset that I wouldn't provide it to him because he said he was going to report me. Really? He said he gave me his name, but he didn't, I got his first name from his name tag. He then decided to roll down the window as he was backing out to say to me, "I've never seen a Karen in a wheelchair before". Really, Michael?? Not only do you break the law and you get mad when someone calls you out for it, but the best comeback you can think of is the fact that I use a wheelchair? The ignorance is strong with this one! IU Health Pathogy Lab... hire and train better, please!

I have now been waiting for a refund for over two months. Every time I call 317-612-2754, I am told that my refund is still “under review.” Today, June 30, 2026, I waited approximately 30 minutes for someone to answer my call. The representative provided excellent service; however, she informed me that my request is still under review and asked me to wait an additional week. She advised me to wait until July 8 for an update. I have already explained multiple times that my insurance issued payment by check on April 27, 2026. It is unacceptable that a simple refund review is taking more than 60 days. You are quick to request payment, yet extremely slow when it comes to returning money that is owed. Your slogan mentions “top health in Indiana” and “we deliver exceptional care”; however, my experience has been the opposite. This situation has created unnecessary stress and has negatively impacted my overall care. Additionally, during my most recent visit for a vaccine (6.24.26), I waited one full hour past my scheduled appointment time. To make matters worse, the nurse did not offer any apology for the delay, which reflects a lack of basic professionalism and respect for patients’ time. At this point, I am requesting immediate assistance. Please connect me with someone who has the authority to review and process my refund without further delay. This situation has gone on far too long and requires prompt resolution.

I don’t think I could be more disappointed with IU Health. I was in there sleep department getting a sleep study done. Not only was I misdiagnosed incorrectly but it was by the wrong provider who wasn’t even a sleep doctor. Then I was put on the wrong machine. And now I can’t get a hold of anyone in any department. 0/10 would not recommend.

Never go here. I was told my doctor yesterday “we gave you the pump so we own you” Black people haven’t been owned for years in this country. Not so subtle micro aggression. Would rather go into DKA then be seen by another IU health doctor
