If I could give a 10 star review I would. We had some negative experiences with two cardiothoracic surgeons who did not know what they did not know. Not their fault because this is a new situation. But extremely happy with Dr. Corvera

This man is amazing!! Just from talking to him, I had 💯% faith in him. He is the nicest person and has better bedside manner than some other doctors. I will always have a fondness and respect for someone who saved my life, & has the knowledge to do what he does! ❤️ He also has a great hair.😆

Dr. Corvera, quite simply, saved my life, I would not be alive today without his knowledge, caring, and dedication. I was an emergency transfer from another hospital, suffering from a dissecting aorta, with the bleakest possible prognosis for the future, and he and his team spent more than 16 hours working on me -- successfully. During this time, my family was regularly informed on the progress of the surgery, thus easing their fears as much as possible. Upon completion of the surgery he explained the procedures in depth to my family, the expectations for my recovery, and answered all questions completely, again, easing their concerns as much as could be expected. The care I received at Methodist Hospital following my surgery set a standard for all future hospitalizations. I remain extremely grateful to all those involved in my surgery and recovery. Everything, including all my follow-up visits, has been extremely high quality.

I have a genetic condition with my heart that has required several surgeries. Dr Corvera has completed three of the four surgeries and I wouldn't think of changing doctors. I have 100% faith in his abilities and his team to always do the right thing for my health. I hope you never need a cardiovascular or thoracic surgeon, but if you do, you won't find a better man or team than his team at IU Medical.

Dr Corvera was asked to be my husband's surgeon after his original surgeon left the practice. I was a tad wary about being given a surgeon we had never met. He made sure he met with us and asked question and then answered ours. His bedside manor before and after surgery has been perfect. He is down to earth and personable as well as being confident in his abilities. Only moments after meeting him, both my husband and I knew that he was supposed to be the surgeon all along. I wish we had found him sooner in my husband's illness.

Doctor Corvera was given our case because our original surgeon left the practice. He took it in stride. Explained everything very well and took care of my husband and myself. He cared how I was doing through all of my husbands issues. I cannot stress how amazing he was through all of this.

Not only is he an amazing physician, but truly a very nice man. He explains your medical in terms you can understand.

Great Doctor! Very professional but great personal interaction. Appreciated the time he spent with my husband and I prior to surgery! He wanted to make sure we understood everything and made himself and his assistant available as needed.

Very detailed oriented. Explains thoroughly what your surgery will entail. Great bedside manor. Great after surgery care. A++++

Dr. Corvera is an excellent doctor. Very concerned about his patients. Excellent care by everyone in his office.
