I recently took my family member to see Dr. Dewitt. The Dr. took time to explain everything in detail and broke it down so we could understand. He was more helpful than anyone else due to his extensive knowledge and experience. I am very appreciative and grateful and would recommend Dr. Dewitt to anyone asking.

Excellent Dr. he explained everything he was going to do, in simple easy to understand words before the surgery and after surgery as well. He is a very kind and understanding person.

Had G-POEM surgery with him May 2021. He came into the preop area & was in a bad mood you could tell. He got into it with the RN who was prepping me. He ripped up my signed consent bc he said it was the wrong one & stormed out to get the correct one. I was crying due to my anxiety & he didn't care. The RN apologized for the way he treated me. After surgery he didn't even go out & talk to my Husband about how it went. IDC if he was having a bad day, he is a DR & held to a higher standard. I will not be following up with him ever. Had POEM surgery with him 2 months prior to this surgery. He was wonderful & caring. IDK if we caught him on a good day then, or on a bad day this time. However, there is no excuse for the way he behaved.

Had G-POEM surgery May 2021. Dr Dewitt chewed the RN out in front of us. She had done nothing wrong. He stormed out of the room & got my chart, ripped up the consent I had signed that he said was wrong. I was bawling & he didn't care my anxiety was off the charts. He didn't even go talk to my Husband after the surgery. The next morning he was still very short when he came in to release me. IDK if he was having a bad day the day before, but I feel Dr's are held to a higher standard & there was no excuse for how he treated myself, the RN or even my Husband. I had POEM surgery with him 2 months prior to this & he was totally different. Super kind & caring. So, IDK if we caught him on a good day 2 months before or on a bad day this time. Either way, I will not be following up with him further at all. I just hope no one else has to go through being treated like this by him. That is the reason for my review.

Excellent physician who was able to obtain fluid from my pancreatic cyst for genetic studies. My gastroenterologist in Philadelphia told me he could never obtain fluid from the cyst. A very talented doctor with great bedside manner.
