John M. Wo's Online Review Report Card

Dr wo seems like a good Dr, however my wife had been getting sick alot after she seen him and can't go to the bathroom. He prescribed a new medication. The nurse said it would take a week to get approved. The prior authorization was denied. Can't get anyone online or by phone to call us back. This is by far the worst patient care I've ever seen. No patient should have to be this sick. We will end up changing Dr very soon after this. We still haven't gotten a call and she seen him July 6. No excuse for this poor patient care at all.

Never even addressed the issue and never looked at any of my health records just told me to not let any other dr touch me when my gallbladder was dead inside of me, completely black and the. Pretty much refused to treat me because I didn’t listen. He’s not a nice man!

I looked at Dr. Wo’s reviews before my visit and honestly had really low expectations of being helped with my Gastroparesis because of those reviews. With that being said, I was absolutely blown away by not just Dr. Wo but also the staff I encountered during my visit. Everyone was warm, kind, and willing to help as part of a team. Dr. Wo took the time to explain to my why he was asking his questions, what’s his thought process was, different options I’d have, but also what to do right now to get me the appropriate treatment. After months of feeling so sick (lost 60 pounds in 6 months) and so drained and depleted- I still feel this way but I have HOPE he will help get me on the right path to a semi decent quality of life. Dr. Wo’s positive energy and spirit also made a large difference for me.

Horrible experience! Had test done couldn't get anyone to call me back with results. He called in a prescription to my pharmacy before giving me the results to my test, had no idea what the prescription was for.His nurse finally called me but really couldn't answer my questions. He is not even addressing the issue the issue of my gastroparesis. Can't eat without vomiting and they are sending me a diet to eat. That would be fine except I CANNOT KEEP FOOD DOWN. I am sure they will want their money for not listening to his patients. He had no time to answer questions after my procedure. His response to me was we will discuss it later. NEED TO TALK WITH A PATIENT ADVOCATE!!!

They are very good. Of what they do and they take care of you. And hlep you out.

Dr Wo and staff were FABULOUS! I was fortunate enough for an intern ( A med student) to look me over first and offer his opinion to Dr. Wo, then Dr. WO examined me and then a final decision was made and proper treatment is being done. I regret not remembering the Interns Name that was working with Doctor, but all is appreciated. And I'm greatful for your attention and on my way to feeling better. 🧚‍♀️

I was referred to Dr. Wo by my PCP. I have had variable GI issues since I was a child. Dr. Wo’s office is at IU Health Hospital. This is a teaching hospital so, I was interviewed by the resident. The resident was appropriate and thorough. After about 20 to 25 minutes, she left the room to get Dr. Wo. Dr. Wo immediately was on the offensive. He kept asking why I came to see him. He insisted that my problem should be addressed by a doctor that I have seen and gotten treatment from for a related GI issue. Said doctor is out-of-network. My PCP referred me to Dr. Wo because his practice is a “Motility” group. Dr. Wo treated me with utter disrespect. I left feeling embarrassed and dismayed.

Dr. Wo, saved my life. I have gastro paresis and at the time was in and out of the hospital under another physician that just admitted me every time. I had lost a drastic amount of weight and was down in and out before I had learned of Dr. Wo and the day that I saw him after my stomach emptying test I pasted out and he immediately got me prepped for the gastro stimulator and gave me some type of life. Love you Dr. Wo....

I’ve had a very good experience with Dr Wo. He is knowledgeable in EDS and is very familiar with my symptoms and has gone above and beyond to help me manage my symptoms
