I started seeing Ridel when I was 16 to try to get an answer to medical issues I had been having for a year. He ran some tests and diagnosed me. My diagnosis required IV treatments which I received for 6 years. After 6 years of treatment we went to Mayo Clinic where we discovered he has misdiagnosed my illness and treated me for something I never had. We also found out that the correct diagnosis was on the original testing he had done, but he overlooked it saying it was nothing. DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH YOUR CHILDS MEDICAL CARE! He is a negligent doctor that should not be practicing medicine.

Rudest non caring doctor I've ever worked with. I had more knowledge with my husband's working presumed diagnosis (later confirmed) He clearly doesn't respect women...especially those that have a brain.

Dr. Ridel is very kind, patient and through. However, we have gotten no where with my son’s seizure disorder. Initially, we saw Ridel at the first appointment, then after that we only saw Jennifer, his PA. I did not feel comfortable with her rushed technique, pushing medication, when I was nervous about it. After I expressed my concerns and told the office I only wanted to see Ridel, we did. Since, we’ve switched medication twice and still don’t know what’s triggering his seizures, we have done several EEGs and still have more coming, and each time I call with new seizure activity, it’s not surprising that Sarah calls back and says Dr. Ridel wants to increase his dosage. It’s almost like why call to report, I know he exactly what they’re going to say. Still, his seizures are breaking through. I’m not exactly sure how long something like this takes to get under control but I feel like we have gotten no where and no real answers and it’s been a year. I’m also not comfortable with constantly increasing the dosage for a 12 year old kid. I am very frustrated by this practice.

Told my son he was just depressed and refused to see him again until he saw a psychiatrist. Took him to a counselor who asked why we were there when he was so sick. Took him to Mayo Clinic where he was diagnosed with neurological disorder. Made my 11 year old dislike doctors for a long time.

I've been seeing Dr Rydell since I was 8, on and off for 12 years. He has always been so patient and kind, always being sure to listen to my concerns and do whatever he can to help. He explains things well and never dismisses my concerns. Definitely appreciate all that he and Dr Irwin (who is an angel btw) have done for me.

Dr, Ridel sees 4 of our children for seizures. He has always taken the time to go through the kids full history just not what he is specifically treating. I also know he discusses treatment options with other specialists in our children's care. Dr. Ridel has an amazing nurse practitioner who works closely with him. Sarah his medical assistant is very fast and thorough when getting PA's needed for the children's seizure medications.

Extremely frustrated with this practice and physician. We were sent for a consult at 30 weeks pregnant - arrived 30 minutes prior to appointment time as instructed and waited an hour PAST the appointment time just to see him. Not a great first impression. He was supposed to come see our son in the hospital at birth - a different doctor from the practice came. We did see Dr. Ridel at one month, and per his instruction, scheduled a follow up at 6 months. When I got the confirmation message for the 6 month visit, I noticed that the provider name was different. When I called to follow up, I was told that we would be seeing his PA. I told the receptionist that I had had instruction to see Dr. Ridel, and why was the appointment with his PA? I was rudely informed that "he's in the office but his appointments can be with his PA," and that if I wanted an appointment with Dr. Ridel, she could, but he had no appointments until MAY. Funnily enough, when my husband called an hour later, an appointment had opened up a couple of days later. I have nothing against PAs and understand that physicians are busy, but a) it should have been disclosed to me we'd be seeing a PA at the time of scheduling and b) for something like a 6-month old with a neurological disorder, I want to see the MD, not a PA (especially knowing I'm going to get billed the same anyway). A joke!

First off I’m pretty sure Sarah his partner wrote the only nice comment he has. He is never available we haven’t seen him in two years out of the four we have been with him. The only thing he knows to do is have his nursing assistant write up higher doses on medication he has overdosed us twice and is never around when that happens. We just had an overdose happen two days ago and he REFUSED to see us today don’t go to him. This guy should’ve been a business man not a doctor since all he cares about is money

Never can see him, they just send the nurse practitioner to see you. Doesn’t answer and of your questions, and you can tell he’s in a hurry and doesn’t care. Just another patient to get money from.
