Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North's Online Review Report Card

This place is an absolute nightmare! Please don't allow your loved one to go there. My sister was there in March, 2022. They wouldn't bathe my sister, didn't do hardly any therapy with her. They were so short staffed, we had to hire a private care giving agency to set with here where she was so afraid to be alone there and they wouldn't answer her call light. She has a trach due to Covid complications.She was so helpless on her own. She asked for a cup of water and my Daughter witnessed a RN open a gallon of dialysis water that was left in her room and give her a drink, it burnt her throat because it has acid in it!! This was documented. I honestly cannot believe that we have facilities like these. Keenan B. , we discussed all of these issues. Unfortunately my Sister is now dead. If she would have had proper care she may still be alive .

My dad was moved here after a 5.5 week stay at the IU Simon Cancer Center ICU. The moment he got here I have been nothing short of amazed and impressed. They had my dad weaned off the vent and out of his room in a week. Their respiratory team is absolutely amazing!! The physical therapy team has pushed my dad to do his best. Their nursing staff has been amazing. They have been absolutely amazing and I am so glad we decided to bring my dad here. They are beyond informative and willing to explain. As you walk up and down the hall everyone smiles and says hello, the rooms are clean and the staff is always in a good mood. Their CEO personally walks around and checks in on the patients and sees if anybody needs anything. The administrative staff is personable and makes you feel at home. Thank you Kindred staff for making an awful situation seem so much more pleasant and letting us feel at peace and ease during this difficult time!!

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North has great Doctors that helped me make life threatening decisions and UT actually improved my overall health condition. The Nurses are helpful but you got to know how to play the game " You get what you out out" I did however enjoy Alizah very kind hearted CNA that always did a great job when working with me. Also the Patient Advocate made me feel better just by helping me look better. That meant a lot. Thanks fir everything I will recommend in the future.

My mom loves everyone here. They have treated her like family. Her care team has been wonderful and I don't know what we would do without them. If you or your family needs respiratory care, I would highly recommend Kindred North.

I am so thrilled to have an opportunity to share my thoughts about Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North through Google and the Kindred Success Story platform. When I was asked to share my health journey with others, it made me feel like I was able to help by encouraging them to "keep up the fight and never give up! if I can come through all my adversaries so can you." I hope my Story help others during their difficult times. I would like to thank Silvio, Mary, and Devin they all went above and beyond. They were truly compassionate caregivers during my stay.

My visit was very nice the staff was very kind and courteous made my visit very pleasant.

I was released for home care today and couldn't be happier to be reunited with family! The last two months I spent mostly sedated and with a trach tube fighting. We began at IU North and were transferred to Kindred North. Alisha was very helpful from the moment I regained consciousness and jokingly referred to the coincidence of my room number, birthdate and hers being the same number. Alisha takes a personal interest in everyone (that I have seen) and goes out of her way to make their Kindred North experience better. She gave me the finest shave and haircut I have ever had and even trimmed my nails - not because it's her job, but because she cared about me and what I was going through.There are other medical professionals there that also stand out for their compassion. Whether spending a few minutes chatting late at night when I couldn't sleep or bringing a cup of hot tea to help ease a cough or changing up a meal order to satisfy a craving for salad, there are many individuals working at Kindred that demonstrated true live for their fellow man.There are a few that obviously show up for just a paycheck but that is something I will address separately- this is intended to show my honest appreciation for those that helped me and get me back on my feet.

Kindred Hospital played a very important part in my wife's recovery from covid. Doctors, nurses, techs and staff were very professional. Definitely made my wife feel special. We did run into some issues that were of some concern, but they were addressed promptly and professionally. I would recommend Kindred Hospital for your loved ones as they've proved to be a solid balance of aggressive compassion in wanting to get their patients home. Extra thanks to a special handful of you for going the extra mile in making my wife feel loved. You know who you are! With that said, God bless and thanks again!

After we transferred my husband, we had a few hiccups. Tony has chronic back pain and takes pain meds for it. They were not aware of this. Our second week has been good. I have already receive a team meeting update on my husband.

When my boyfriend was in the hospital from day one his patient advocate was very helpful. She made sure anything he needed done was done correctly and answered in a timely manner.
