We have thanked God many times for putting this woman in our path. Back in 2012, I was a 40-yr woman with a 2 vessel chord pregnancy. My OBGYN wanted to induce at 24 weeks because the scans showed that our son had stopped growing. We received a 2nd opinion with a similar recommendation to induce at 24 weeks. We were devastated but refused to accept the 2nd opinion. Our doctor referred us to Dr. Dungy-Poythress for a 3rd opinion, and she did her own scans and analysis and assured us that our son was indeed still growing in the womb. Her opinion gave us the courage to progress with the pregnancy and not induce early. Had we not met her and induced at 24 weeks, our son would likely have been born blind, deaf and crippled. Instead, today our son is a happy, healthy 6 1/2 year old boy who is able to enjoy life to the fullest. I realize that not everyone will be able to have the same outcome as we did, but you can be assured that you will be in the best hands with her as your doctor.

Dr. Dungy-Poythress has been very caring and thorough in my and my baby's care. She even called me herself after my first visit to make sure I hadn't thought of any additional questions about the daignosis and prognosis.

My family cannot say enough about Dr. Dungy-Poythress and her entire staff. She not only treated us medically but truly cared for our family as we struggled through carrying twins with a life-threatening condition. My husband often says, "I've never known a doctor who cares for her patients and their families like Dr. Dungy-Poythress." God saved our girls but He used the hands of Dr. Dungy-Poythress and her staff.
