List of Lighthouse Autism Center - Avon's Reviews
I worked at Lighthouse in Kearney, NE for 4 1/2 months and I loved it at first. I was welcomed and kept up to date until I passed the RBT exam. After that I was pushed out and ignored by admin. All of the RBTs are amazing and genuinely care about the kiddos, but management only cares about money and themselves. The clinical administrator was our last advocate and admin treated her so horribly that she left after being there for over a year. It was very clear that she held the center together and without her, the treatment from admin got extremely bad. They never come out of their office to help with behaviors or even to greet parents at the door because they covered the glass to their office so no one could see what they were doing, blocking their view to the front door. They have resorted to writing anyone up that tries to stand up for themselves without getting the whole story. They cancelled the only meetings that allowed RBTs to ask questions not regarding the clients. They don’t talk to any of the RBTs unless you are one of their favorites that they are trying to promote. They even promoted a new hire to a team lead because she couldn’t work with the kids. I could go on and on honestly, but to spare you the details, do not trust Kearney LAC because there is NO communication from management.
Lighthouse in Kearney, NE is in such dire need to have BCBAs that they have kept a unprofessional, immature, unqualified director. After an “HR investigation” that resulted in nothing being done & nobody’s concerns being listened to they then took to writing up their RBTs for expressing concerns. I would not recommend working here & if you’re a parent I promise those RBTs care for your children but the higher ups(BCBAs & corporate) are getting incentives to get more kids in and keep your children full time. It truly is a money making minded business.
my Michael has been going to ABA therapy for 19months. and thr mountains he has moved. I am very great full for every that has worked with him.
My son had a great first day here, and we’re excited to see how things progress! The sign-up process was simple and stress-free—even for a full-time mom. I’m really looking forward to watching my son grow, especially in his communication and overall happiness.❤️
Was so disappointed with this company. Waited over 4 months, went through the whole enrollment process. My son was really excited to start. This felt like an answer to prayer for what we needed in this season. & then was told my (level 2) son isn’t a good “fit” for their services. The main reason they gave was something we were told up front would not be an issue. The other reasons, they were already aware of through diagnosis reports and parent assessments etc. but waited to tell us after they met him, that it was not a good fit. We’ve done ABA at a different company for a short period in the past, and I just can’t make sense out of all of this. They apparently also do not accept children with certain behaviors (that are common with autism) even though ABA is supposed to be behavior therapy. I had no idea that they were so exclusive. Certainly not what they advertise.
The lighthouse is amazing!! I never imagined that my boys would be able to do half the stuff they can do now. Because of the lighthouse my kids have a brighter future full or amazing things the were not possible before.
I love Lighthouse, especially for my daughter. They are the most beautiful and loving people. They've provided a ton of support and education not only for my daughter but myself too. Highly recommend!
Working at Lighthouse Autism Center as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) offers a fulfilling and supportive environment dedicated to delivering high-quality services to individuals with autism. The center stands out for its commitment to creating a nurturing atmosphere where both learners and staff thrive. I’ve worked for the company for over 9 years and have nothing but positive feedback. Quality Services Lighthouse Autism Center prioritizes quality in every aspect of its operations. BCBAs are empowered to implement evidence-based practices, ensuring that each learner receives tailored interventions that meet their unique needs. The focus on ongoing training and professional development with the generous CE budget further enhances the quality of care provided, allowing staff to stay current with the latest research and methodologies in the field. Opportunities for Upward Mobility The organization fosters a culture of growth and advancement. BCBAs are encouraged to pursue leadership roles. Lighthouse Autism Center actively promotes from within, allowing dedicated professionals to elevate their careers while contributing to the organization’s mission. Small Caseloads One of the most significant advantages of working at Lighthouse is the manageable caseload sizes. This allows BCBAs to dedicate ample time and attention to each learner, resulting in more effective interventions and better outcomes. Smaller caseloads also reduce burnout, making for a more sustainable and enjoyable work experience. Beautiful Centers and Resources The centers at Lighthouse Autism Center are designed with the needs of both learners and staff in mind. Each center is well-equipped with a variety of materials and toys that facilitate engaging and meaningful learning experiences. The welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environments contribute to a positive atmosphere for both learners and clinicians. Support Staff for Clinical Teams Collaboration is at the heart of Lighthouse’s approach. BCBAs benefit from a robust support system, including a clinical admin, SLP, onsite training coordinator, RBT Trainers for each team, an assistant for each BCBA/PM, CD on site for support and mentorship, and an insurance team to handle payor relations. This team-oriented structure allows for efficient service delivery, enabling BCBAs to focus on developing individualized treatment plans and fostering relationships with learners and their families. Growth Focused on Quality Services Lighthouse Autism Center is committed to continuous improvement. The organization actively seeks feedback from staff to refine processes and enhance service delivery. This growth mindset not only boosts the quality of services provided but also ensures that BCBAs feel valued and heard within the organization. In summary, working at Lighthouse Autism Center as a BCBA is a rewarding experience marked by a strong commitment to quality services, professional growth opportunities, manageable caseloads, and a supportive team environment. For those looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with autism, Lighthouse offers an exceptional platform to do so.
We have had two children go to the Avon location. Amanda is an amazing BCBA. She listened to our concerns and helped come up with ways to help our boys through various challenges. The right center and the right BCBA are key to the successes of the RBTs and their clients. Amanda does a good job supporting her clients and her team, at least from a parent’s perspective. I couldn’t recommend her more!
Lighthouse Autism Center is an amazing facility! My now 7 year old graduated from their Warsaw location in 2021 and the therapy he received was life changing for him. We now have our 2 almost 3 year old at their new facility in Warsaw and are excited to see what positive changes it brings to his life. We are already seeing some great progress 3 weeks in!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
