Total knee replacement surgery is major surgery. I had interviewed several doctors but when i met Dr. Cross I knew he would be the one I chose. Didn't have a God complex. Walked into the room, shook my hand and said Hi, I'm Michael Cross He explained everything thoroughly and then some. Dr. Cross replaced both of my kneed. I knew I had chosen the right surgeon. Would love to refer him however he and his family moved out of New York. Too bad, because I highly recommend him! Anyone living in Indianapolis who needs TKR Should see Dr. Cross. BEST surgeon!

Cross was the only HSS surgeon that could see me within 2 mos. Surgery was set up for 2 weeks from my initial visit. He only did 'posterior' surgery for my hip, an archaic technique. I should have passed right there. Long story short, I wound up with a 3/4" leg length differential. Now four years later I have intractable pain and can't walk more than a block and one half. A word to the wise (I was not!!!).

I was seeing him at HSS. My first visit was in June 2021 and he seemed to be explaining the complications related to a hip replacement that I already had. Then I had a follow up in July after MRI imaging and he didn’t say the same things. He also didn’t leave a medical note for my July visit even though I paid a co-pay. Then I had another video visit with him in August and again he didn’t leave a medical note. When I told him I just wasn’t doing well he said then I suppose you need to be seen but he said it very begrudgingly. Again he left a no medical note and I paid a co-pay. Then I found out he’s leaving HSS but I was really taken advantage of.

I met Dr. Cross, August 2020. We scheduled my surgery for total knee replacement for September. Surgery went as he expected. I will be having my other knee replacement surgery this September, 2021. I totally recommend Dr. Cross. He is a skilled surgeon, friendly, patient, caring, and knowledgeable. His staff is the best! They are friendly and very helpful. Selena is the best she returns all calls or emails. The after care was great too.

I met Dr. Cross after suffering with hip pain for over 1 year. His office initially sent me to pain management orthopedist in a effort to see if the pain could be alleviated non surgically. When that failed Dr. Cross performed a full left hip replacement in May, 2019. I was walking pain free in just a couple of weeks and now, a year later I wouldn't even know I had a joint replacement. The care from him and his entire office staff has been exemplary.

Dr. Cross gave me a new hip a couple of months ago and I couldn't be more pleased. His staff and PAs are terrific too. I highly recommend Dr. Cross. The Hospital for Special Surgery is a pleasure to deal with too. Their staff and nurses are wonderful.

Dr. Cross is an amazing surgeon. He is skilled, compassionate and truly cares about his patients. I had a total knee replacement this past summer and now I am having a total knee replacement on my other leg. So grateful to Dr. Cross and his entire staff! The best doctor!
