Dr. EL-AMIR is a very caring and compassionate Dr. I will forever be greatful that my GP had me involved in pre-screening for lung cancer. And I will forever be grateful that I was blessed to have Dr. Eli-Amir as my lung doctor. Reflecting back on my experience, I could not have been more blessed to be in such knowledgeable and compassionate hands. Thank you Dr. EL-Amir for your caring hands and knowledge. I will always remember how compassionate you were to me. Thank you always and forever.
More than excellent. Very pleasant and nice person. Take care obout everything. Unbelievable what doctors can do. He is like angel. My mom had open heart surgery and he saved her life. God bless him. Thank you El Amir.
Horrible. Spoke to me like I was a 5 year old. Do not see!!
Just wow. Absolutely horrible.
Doctor El-Amir is a skilled surgeon. He saved my life by skillfully repairing my dissected aorta during emergency surgery. I owe my life to him.
If you need esophageal surgery, do not go Dr. El-amir! Go to U of M. He performed surgery on my sister last yr, describing his extensive experience and her surgery would be approx 6 hrs. I was impressed with him at her pre-op appointments. I am an RN with 25 years hospital experience. I had hoped she would go to Ann Arbor, but she felt strongly about trusting her Drs in Muskegon. Her internist referred her to Dr. El-Amir. Her surgery was 14 hrs long! She suffered terribly, but bravely, for 4 months then died at Henry Ford Hospital. I have nightmares about seeing her after that brutal surgery, then watching her fight to live but suffer daily. She was 63. Please, I hope for no other family to go through this! I believe my sister would wish for me to say this.
He performed a triple bypass on my Dad. He is very thorough and kind. Was very attentive and we were very happy with him. Highly recommend this doctor.
I was a patient of his.had multiple strokes and had to have surgery.he was very good and checked on me multiple times after my surgery.he has a very good bedside manor and cares very much for his patients .would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. El Amir is professional very good at what he does.He took the time to call me at home before the surgery.he was available at the hospital every day.he kept the pain at a minimal.Explained every thing to me.Very satisfied.
Dr. El-Amir was the worst doctor with patients and bedside manor. I will never go back to him again. He is rude and thinks that he is above the other doctors. His surgery has left me still with problems which I had to changed to another surgeon. He and most of the nurses at St E.s madmy medcial stay was a nightmare. I could not talk with him at all. As far as pain management with him was mimual, commets were made by him and nurses about pt's on pain medication made comments by saying they were all tens, and the comments were don't they all, meaning pts. I will never see him or go to St E again. I will never

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
