Dr. Hillsamer is not a good fit for children. He's very brusque, discussed the potential need for surgery in front of my child (understandably upsetting them), never let them know what he would do before doing any of the examinations and was rough when examining their ear & throat. Surgery was deemed necessary and when my child asked for information about what would happen, Dr. Hillsamer brushed off the questions, making my child even more nervous. He gave only broad overviews of what the surgery would entail, so that both my child & I didn't know exactly what to expect. Most concerning of all, my child was given a acetaminophen suppository during the surgery, without my prior knowledge or consent. To say that he lacks good bedside manner is an understatement and we will not return.

Dr. Hilsammer is a great doctor! I have an autoimmune disease and he’s always aware and takes my condition seriously! I see a lot if doctors and he’s one of the best. He’s busy and it shows but he’s assertive and always thinking and working to his patient’s best interests.

Dr. Hillsamer is an excellent ENT. He takes the time to talk with and go over thing with to where you know what is going on. He is very patient, kind, and understanding.

Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever been to. Scheduled my surgery on the first appointment without doing a single test or review of my medical history! Did not listen to me when I told him I was sensitive to medications and anesthetics. Immediately following surgery the nurse slapped my face and told me to wake up or I'd be rushed to the emergency room! As I woke up she wiped my face and told me that they had forgotten to wipe me off after the procedure and there was a lot of dried blood on my face. I had been shown a pamphlet prior to surgery with a picture of a recovery room. It depicted a patient recovering on a bed in a room without any other patients. That is not the case! I was in between two other patients with only a couple feet between us and a curtain as a wall. I could hear them crying and arguing. At one point the curtian was left opened for anyone to see me. The nurse told me that they were in a hurry for us to recover and leave. I believe that this doctor does not care about anything other than money and financial gain. The surgery was done so poorly I have more issues now than I did prior. I wish I could give him 0 stars. I have had several years of issues due to this man! PLEASE, PLEASE, go to a different doctor and ask for references, make sure they listen to you! Make sure they evaluate you with testing and look at your medical history! Ask about safety of anesthetics and medicines. Ask to see the recovery area. You will regret it if you go to him. I am thankful that I did not have anything worse happen. I would never have surgery in a small clinic like this one again. It is unsafe and scary.

Dr. Hillsamer is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He has excellent bedside manner, takes time to explain things to you and you don't feel like a number under his care. I was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid cancer in both lobes of my thyroid. I had to have surgery to have it removed, and while in recovery I developed a hematoma. He responded quickly and took me back into surgery to have it removed. I'm so thankful for Dr. Hillsamer's expert care everything turned out good. Thank you! Angela Patrick

Dr. Hillsamer has excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. He took excellent care of my son when he needed his tonsils and adenoids removed, as well as allergy testing. Very happy with our experience there. Excellent doctor.
