List of Robert JAY Huler's Reviews
My husband had a cyst growing inside of his spinal column causing severe pain and a dropped foot. Due to my husband's weight, regular MRI machines were not giving a clear enough picture. Dr. Huler finally found an enclosed MRI machine made for heavier patients. He said he wanted to know exactly what he was dealing with and what he needed to do before operating. The surgery was a success and motivated my husband to lose weight. Later I had a compressed nerve root in my neck. Based on where the pain was in my arm and hand, Dr. Huler knew which vertebrae was involved before looking at the MRI. He operated, and since he went in from the back, did not have to fuse my vertebrae. I had immediate relief from the pain and have had no further problems. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Huler and will definitely use him for any future spinal problems.
Suppose you got referred to Dr. Huler by your worker's comp, you better RUN and get a lawyer first!!!! Dr. Huler does NOT care about his patient. Don't let case management go in the room with you to your appts because she will talk Dr. Huler into doing things in favor of WC! I found out too late, but you have a right to stop case management from going in the room with you. 1st appt with Dr. Huler, he sent me back to work on a 40 lbs. work restriction and declared that he THINKS I do not need surgery. I knew I would end up in ER if I went back to work, so I refused and had to use up all my sick pay and vacation pay just to get some time off work to rest. My injury happened with a ruptured discs with nerve impingement, but Dr. Huler has his mind made up prior to entering the room. He never even physically .examined me. I would NOT recommend him! 8 mos later, he released me to return to work full duty regardless. He does not even care that I am still hurting. They only care about getting you to arrive at MMI to close your case. He rejected my request for another MRI, and refused to refer me for a 2nd opinion, but when I read his report, he stated that he referred me for a 2nd opinion which was a lie! 13 mos later after injury, I'm still suffering. I appealed, but of course, IME sided with Dr. Huler's decision. Worst dr ever!
Listened to my concerns and explained all my options and helped me to have a clear picture of the surgery decided. Looking forward to after the surgery.
I had a strep infection. It settled in my spine, he made an 18 inch incision and got it all out saving my life in the process. I had nine fusions done, and it took away my chronic back pain. He does excellent work.
Dr. Huler was on point! He was personable. He talked about real life issues related to my ailment. He was also very knowledgeable.
Can't ask for a more professional, concerned approach. Listens to patients concerns and follows up on them. Would recommend him to anyone.
My experience with Dr. Huler and Lisa has been outstanding and above and beyond what is expected. The response time has been so good and their concern for and response to my problems has been excellent.
Great job Dr. Huler and team! My lower back surgery was a 100% success! Thanks for a great job and giving me back my life. Highly recommend Mark Bayley
If I could give 0 stars I would. Arrogant, unsympathetic, no bedside manner. He had his PA examine my spouse, came in and looked at x-rays, and thought he knew the whole case and dismissed his pain immediately because nothing is broken. Everyone’s pain level is relative according to their situation, not according to text book definitions.
Dr. Huler preformed a spinal fusion with titanium rods for a broken C2, and damaged spinal cord. He personally called me when I had questions. Lisa who is his right hand is also amazing. Both Dr.’s are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I highly recommend them. I don’t think there is a better Dr anyone could find.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
