Scott Levine's Online Review Report Card

After living abroad for a decade, I decided a general dental exam was in order. My medical plan did not provide a dental care panel. I liked what I read on Yelp and made a appointment for x-rays etc. I'm glad I did. Dr. Levine provided me a plan of cleaning, repairing, and generally getting my teeth 100% healthy again. I am sure he probably cost a little bit more than others but I don't regret going with him. In fact, midway through, my medical plan did offer a panel of insurance dentists. I checked a few profiles but decided to stick with Dr.Levine. He is very sensitive, a great communicator, and has good hands. He's worked on fixing 2 crack teeth and 2 crowns. Literally, he's never bumped into any part of my mouth in spite of the hours spent nor has any movement ever felt like a prick. That's not due to local anesthesia either because his assistants, although all quite able, are occasionally a bit more clumsy and have pinched my gums here & there.I was also pleasantly surprised that he personally called me the evening after my first crown to see if I were having any problems. I guess sometimes crowns loosen or fall off. I had no problems.You won't go wrong with Dr. Levine. Oh parking is pretty easy, too.

Dr. Levine has been my dentist for about 4 years now. From routine visits to veneers and other cosmetic work, he has done a phenomenal job at improving my oral health. I feel so much more confident about my smile! Dr. Levine has a special eye for detail and is very thorough and respectful. I know that I can rely on him for high-quality, stress-free dental care. His wife Vineeta, who helped design the beautiful office, and the rest of the staff are equally amazing. Every experience at the office has been great and I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

I recently changed dentists since I no longer work or live in SF, and I chose Dr. Levine due to location (proximity to home) and great reviews. I started seeing Dr. Levine during the pandemic, so I'm only familiar with their pandemic practices and protocols (as opposed to what it's like under "normal" circumstances). My initial appointment was probably one of the most thorough appointments I've ever had - not just the obligatory x-rays that are required periodically but his team spent a lot of time cleaning my teeth and checking my gums. I really appreciate the very thorough gum checks, and the hygienist spent a lot of time talking through different options to ratchet up my dental care (hydrogen peroxide and water mix for my Waterpik?). I recently noticed an issue on my gum and when I called the office, they were able to get me in for an appointment the next day. Super responsive and easy to get an emergency appointment.

I came here to get an exam, cleaning, fillings, and a crown. Dr. Levine and his staff are all so helpful and friendly. He gave me honest recommendations and explained the treatment plan to me so well. He is gentle during treatment and explains everything as he is working. His office is beautiful and exceptionally clean. All COVID-19 precautions are adhered to. I cannot wait to come back. The rest of my family will be visiting soon. I recently moved to this area, and decided to try Dr. Levine's practice after several recommendations from new friends. His associates and dental hygienists are very thorough and friendly. My husband and I are a little older, so our dental issues can be a bit complicated. I find Dr. Levine to be competent, compassionate, and caring. As an RN, so I am very clear about medical professionalism and really appreciate quality care coupled with humanism. Laurel K.

Dr. Levine was my dentist for over 10 years. He's the best! The only reason he's not my current dentist is that I moved away from Berkeley. Just one example of how stellar he is: I had an old veneer from when I knocked my front tooth out years ago. As you've probably already guessed, I knocked it out. I was so worried about how the replacement would look because my teeth have slight shadows and white spots, and... because my front teeth are huge. I mean, horse teeth huge. Not to mention that as my front tooth, I need it to do some serious work biting into deli sandwiches on hard sourdough rolls, apples, etc... Dr. Levine gave me a new front tooth (a crown) that looks just like my real tooth. No one can tell it's a fake. Seriously. When I tell people it's fake they take another look at my mouth and then ask which tooth it is. And it's been 5+ years. *I'm only remembering to leave a review now because I had to look up their contact info to call and ask a question about my past dental work. Dr. Levine took the time to pull up my old x-rays to answer the question right then and there. A+, Dr. Levine!

The office and rooms are very modern and clean. The staff are friendly, attentive, and incredibly thorough. That goes for Dr. Levine as well. I look forward to many years with Dr. Levine.

I have memories of dentists over the years whom I have encountered; and over time and the pain I remember seems to grow like the proverbial fish in the story of catching a whopper fish. In other words what pain I remember is considerable vs what likely happened. That has kept me outta the dental chair for a while. That and shopping for a competent dentist after moving back to the bay whose practice wasn't full, they weren't about to retire, or too damn far away.So armed with a personal reference we started coming here. Yikes is it gonna hurt? Well I'm happy to report no not really. As a matter of fact, it's "almost"exciting to visit because I fell like I'm gonna get pampered and coddled like the big baby I am. Sho nuff from the front desk to everyone on staff in back and Dr. Levine himself, I feel like royalty... special... the only person the expansive staff is there to support. I say almost cause let's face it... I'd be lying if I said I enjoy going to the dentist! But when getting there, walking in and coming out is as uneventful as getting a haircut that's saying something! I even had a last minute work conflict with my latest appointment and they were so accommodating. Darn it! I want to try to invent a reason to stay far far away... but I got nada. So the moral of the story:since most of you Yelpers use yelp and your pie hole to describe delectable and amazing foodie experiences all over the globe and certainly in the Bay Area , do yourself a favor, and pamper your pie hole on the regular with dental checkups and annual visits. And if you do have to have some work done on your grill, you can't do much better than Dr. Levine and crew to keep you chomping happily for years and years to come!

I have had myself and family members in Dr. Levines care for many years . Aside from an excellent atmosphere and beyond competent chiropractic care , Dr Levine provides and pushes a positive attitude toward healing. My pain and angst evaporated thanks to his social methods and medical expertise.
