I started seeing him in Kokomo & followed him to Indy. He never helped my chronic bellyache, diarrhea, etc. He always liked to give little insults. One time, he said if I had diarrhea as often as I claimed, I'd be skinny! I finally found a good doctor.

Actually I am an RN who used to work with Dr Nowak when he worked in Kokomo In. I worked with him for many years and not only is he a good stolid gastoenterologist but he also has wonderful manners with his patients.

He will speak in a condescending tone to caretakers and patients, refuse to read a medical chart before entering a patients room, forgets procedures he signed off on, and he has played egotistical games regarding important medication. He is not trustworthy, reliable, or consistent. I would recommend any other doctor at IU before him. Zero stars after twelve years of interaction would be more accurate. Ive never been more appalled by a doctor's behavior. His coworkers seem more compassionate, but stay away from him.

He did an endscopy on me and seemed like a very good doctor. He explained everything to me so i could understand it. He was very professional and caring. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Thomas Nowak is the most caring , knowledgeable, professional and honest Doctor. He has been my gastroenterologist going on sixteen years, I LOVE DR. Nowak.

Doctor told me that he wasn't going to push for gastroparesis disability, which caused me to lose a 28yr old job at Ind Bell, because quote 'other people have it worse than you' and they get through it.
