List of Varon Cantrell's Reviews
Staff was nice and helpful, this was a new doctor for us, they were able to get us in quickly and explained what was going on very well, the only issue was they were short staffed in there lab and not able to take labs same day, I guess the staffing issues are everywhere. But overall, we were really happy with this location.
Dr. Cantrell has been my primary care giver for 7 years. Cantrell is concernd about his patients health and well being! He ask questions he listens and he is observant! Cantrell is very knowledgeable and swift! My DC is like my friend! Cantrell has excelled within his career. DC is a very busy man. However if he knows you need him he will reach out to you! love you DC
First, let me say I have never personally met Dr. Cantrell. I have a secondhand accounts from my sister, who’s 1 year old daughter was Cantrell’s patient who I believe is a very creditable and reliable source. About two months ago my sister took my niece to Riley Children’s Hospital where they performed blood test’s that indicated that she had leukemia. Riley told her she needed To take my niece to her pediatrician to have the test results confirmed and then have Dr. Cantrell write a referral back to Riley so my niece could see a hemotologist and/or an oncologist. Dr. Cantrell sent the blood tests to lab Corp, and twice got conflicting answers. Each time the blood was tested one result was positive for leukemia and the other wasn’t. Lab Corp is not an establishment where employees are well paid. Dr. Cantrell, instead of trusting Riley’s pathologist who are reknown for their abilities, asked my sister to wait a few weeks to retest my niece’s blood. My sister was told at Riley the Leukemia was confirmed in my niece’s blood, and Dr. Cantrell wanted my sister to wait an additional three weeks in addition to the original time investment to get the first two blood test done and results back. This is a combined time of a month and a half where Dr. Cantrell thought it’d be best to wait to do more blood tests after Riley’s children’s Hospital had confirmed leukemia. My sister pleaded with Dr. Cantrell to make the referral. The referral is needed for insurance purpose and Dr. Cantrell refuses to give the referral. Dr. Cantrell might be a great doctor, but in this instance he wasn’t. My niece had confirmed leukemia and he suggested waiting which is not a solution or helpful thing when someone is dying of cancer. Especially a baby. This situation shows a lack of judgement of the Dr. and I would consider you find a different pediatrician for your child
I’ve been taking my children to Dr. Cantrell for as long as I can remember. My kids are 14, 11 & 8 and he’s watched them grow up. He is super helpful. He gets my special needs daughter to talk and listen to him when she won’t for any other Dr or Nurse. He’s very friendly and he has great bedside manner. He is wonderful with the children. And knows my children well enough and understands me when I have a concern about one of my children. Thank you Dr. Cantrell for being an amazing doctor and caring about my children as if they were your own!
Dr. Cantrell is both of my children’s pediatricians. He is one of the most caring & polite Doctors I’ve met. He always has a smile on his face and no matter how long it’s been since our last visit he remembers us and specifically talks to each individual in the room. He is one heck of a great doctor and person. I’d recommend him to everyone!!! ❤️
He is the best doctor I've ever seen. He's amazing with my kids. I would recommend him to anyone AND HAVE lol :)
Other doctors I have had at Healthnet West gave me good care, however each time they have forced Dr. Cantrell on me the results have been far from satisfactory. From the care and compassion I have received from him, I can only assume he Photoshoped his degree or was in an affirmative action program that rewarded the slower students. If I fell and broke a leg outside the facility, I would crawl to a vet before letting that hack near me.
Dr. Varon Cantrell is a great doctor. He just don't treat you as a patient he treat you as part of his family. I never had a doctor that cares so much about their patients as he does. HealthNet and W. Health Center is lucky to have a Dr. like him. He will listen to anything you have on your mind.
Dr. C is the most wonderful and caring doctor I have every had in my life. And I am 60 years old. His staff is so warm and compassionate. When you go to his office you are not just a number and another dollar sign. They all care so much. I have been with them for five years with lots of severe spinal problems. And they work hard helping me get the relief I need.
Dr Cantrell is the best

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
