List of Curtis A. Jordan's Reviews
I had cataract surgery by Dr. Jordan at Dr Black’s Eye Associates in Jeffersonville. Dr. Jordan began by rotating my head and neck sharply to the left, and securing me in that position with some sort of strap . The position was extremely uncomfortable. When I complained, the response was that the procedure would not take all that long! The eye drops used to numb the eye wore off early in the surgery. The Versed used to relax me did very little. It is supposed to cause the patient to not remember anything. In my case, the painful position, eye drops which wore off too quickly and the staff’s confidence that I would not remember, caused them to ignore the pain I was feeling. Imagine being strapped down so that you cannot move, and having someone cut into your eye with no effective pain control. Before the surgery, the nurse anesthetist told me I would feel pressure but no pain. He said to let him know if I was uncomfortable and he would give me something. The iv started before the surgery was in my left arm. Dr. Jordan had me positioned so that the iv site was not accessible to the N.A. during the procedure. Afterwards he did give me more Versed, probably hoping that I would not remember the pain. People respond differently to various medications. The only hope patients have is to find a surgeon and staff that are sensitive and responsive to these differences. I did not find that in Dr. Jordan and Dr. Blacks EYE Associates in Jeffersonville.
Disaster… performer cataract surgery on me without anesthesia. Would never use him again.
Dr Black Eye Associates… danger!!!! I am a disabled senior citizen and Doctor Curtis Jordan butchered me….he performed cataract surgery on me without anesthesia… it was the most painful experience of my entire life. I thought I was going to die. Do let him touch you… he has zero regard for patient pain….you are a piece of meat with $$ dollar signs on you…this maniac should in no way be a doctor…
Jordan performed cataract surgery on me without anesthesia. It was the most painful experience of my life. I still have problems with my eye. He is a butcher you are a piece of meat with $$$ dollar signs in you. Don’t let him touch you. All he wants is your $$$. There are plenty of good doctors out there… pass this one at all circumstances.
Dr. Jordon did both my cataract surgeries. He did a fantastic job. Dr. Blacks surgical center is very clean, and people are helpful and very nice. Dr. Jordon doesn't have a lot of what I call "bedside manner" but he is a super GOOD surgeon, and he will do a super good job with a steady hand. I highly recommend him.
From beginning to end, my experience with Dr Jordan, the staff at the Jeffersonville office and the staff at the referral eye doctor, Dr Black and Associates in Corydon was nothing short of excellent. All the staff I came in contact with were very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. I was very nervous and it showed. They were wonderful. I recieved follow-up calls from Dr Jordan himself as well as his staff checking on me following my Lasik surgery. I highly recomnend him.
Jordan strolled into the Tell City Eye Clinic over one hour late. Walked directly past a line of patients and didn’t bother to apologize or say “I’m sorry”. Then, adding injury to insult, he deliberately chose to see the patient behind me in line before me. Needless to say, I was furious. I immediately complained to the front office and left without being examined. I also filed a complaint with the office manager at his Jeffersonville office. I may also talk to the physician manager. His arrogance and insensitivity will cause me to never use his facilities again.
Made me feel like an idiot through my whole exam, like I wasn't giving him the right answers or symptoms to what's going on with my eyes. After my exam I get up to walk out of the exam room to leave and mention to him and his helper that I don't want to go blind and wanted to rule out any autoimmune disorders, he looks at his assistant and asks "We didn't dialate her, did we?" . ..... She says no and I say "Um, yeah, my eyes have been dialated!" So we go back in to the exam room and he does the look behind my eye exam and supposably everything is fine. Not really sure. I mean seriously, ok so this doctor nor his assistant were the ones to dialate my eyes it was another lady but you mean to tell me that this Dr who did my eye exam could not flippin' tell that my freaking eyes were dialated???!!!¡!!!!!!!!!! I really wonder what kind of dope or speed he was on. And he made me feel like an idiot, go figure. Trained??, my a$$!!!!
Felt judged from.the moment he came in, he somewhat aggressively kept pushing botox for blepharo spasms on me even though I was clearly uncomforta b learning with it. After telling him over and over in wasn't comfortable with it, he acted defensive, wouldn't let me say a sentence before interrupting. This was our whole visit. Nurse was great. She spent a lot of time with me talking about things and explaining things to me so I could understand. Unease, judged, a number, no care, no explanation
I felt like I was on an assembly line. Since my cataract surgery , which was about 3 months ago I have had nothing but trouble . I have now gone to another specialist and will probably have more surgery . Would not recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
