Pro's: professional and to the point. Bunion surgeries for both feet were done this year. Surgeries went perfectly which speaks to Dr. Blacklidge's skill. Monitored healing closely. Doctor will answer questions if you ask during the appointment. Con's: Doctor and staff see MANY patients. Don't expect them to remember you, anything you've explained before, or previous visits. Make sure to give reminders every visit (feels like you have to be more in charge of information than they are). You will have to wait an hour past your scheduled time before doc will see you. So you'll have to take a half day off work at least for every visit, and there are frequent follow-ups. So you will lose a lot of pto unless you have very forgiving employers.

Doctor can't even seem to see his patients on time. Was out in the lobby for 30 minutes with rude front desk people. They threw me in a room with a rude nurse and now I've been in here an hour past my appointment time and still not been seen. This is ridiculous. If they don't want to see patients them leave the practice. I'll have to find a new doctor if they keep this up.

He did an amazing job on my husband's ankle. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is healing properly. He takes care of the patient not just the injury. He and his entire staff are top notch. We couldn't have asked for better care.

Dr Blacklidge did surgery on my navicular bone, filled it in w a little bone and plate w screws. He is very professional and answer question you ask.The office area in Lafayette is new and very clean, and the nurses are very helpful. I recommend Dr Blacklidge and his people very highly.

He is a very knowledgeable and an amazingly skillful surgeon. He was able to put together my husband's pulverized ankle. It has healed up so well and he is able to walk on it again. It just blows me away the amazing job the doctor Blacklidge did. After the surgery he and his staff were very attentive and consistently checking on my husband's healing progress. Their offices and patient rooms were always clean and spotless. He and his entire office and medical staff are top notch and I would recommend them to anyone.

He has an amazing bedside manner. He explains everything very well and is very knowledgeable. He is an amazing doctor who made me and my husband feel very comfortable and safe. He did an amazing job and was very patient and helpful with all my husband's issues. I would recommend him to anyone.

After surgery I would never know it has been replaced. Absolutely perfect.

I had surgery with Dr Blacklidge 4 years ago for metatarsals fusions. I went back several times to complain that it still hurt. He blew me off the 3 visit and gave me Celebrex. I just had more surgery on that foot and low and behold, the metatarsal from the first surgery didn’t heal!

Came in for replacement of my old orthodics, he recommended thier over the counter ones, which weren't expensive. Didn't even charge me for the visit! Great advice.
