Said xray showed nothing, then 2 weeks later declared it healed. After 7 weeks. Had mri done thru my pain doctor. Have 2 fractures! Have been doing ot, with pain! No more, will see hand specialist

Dr. Orenstein quickly gave me an evaluation appointment after I fell and badly broke my leg. He then scheduled my surgery on his day off. He has thoroughly listened to my questions and concerns and gave me confidence that he could do a great job. His follow up has also been thoughtful and thorough. I put my faith and trust in him completely.

What a jerk. Seriously, when a patient's family ask if after procedure care instructions will be provided in the discharge summary. You shouldn't say "Well, I'm telling you now. I wrote it in my notes if you can read them." No wonder you have such poor ratings.

Very rude and inconsiderate. Told me to weight train to strengthen my shoulder totally missing my 360 degree torn labrum.

Dr. Orienstein is completely rude! He doesn't take the time to listen to his patients. He will talk over you and when he asks you a question, he will snap the answer back at you. Like he's mad he has to be at work. If you have gained weight and you're having a problem with your knees he will tell you to loose weight because that's what the issue is. Instead of doing an exam to attempt to figure out the problem. He assumes everyone he sees is a lair and just in there for pain pills. Never again!

Avoid if possible. Saw for an ACL tear. Didn't take time to explain course of treatment. This is especially concerning because a second opinion revealed that the recommended course of treatment was incorrect and strange. I was also charged ~$1000 for a knee brace similar models that ACE sells for $15-$50. Nurse and Doctors have said that they wouldn't have know the pricing. This has led hours of phone calls with unfriendly and unhelpful billing and nursing staff.

Over confident. Ignores previous history of surgeries. Arrogant. And admitted during my appt that he was unqualified to read my mri. THEN why did he send me for an mri???? Patronizing to the extreme. Doesn't listen. He's already made up his mind. Can't tell the difference between a tight hamstring and sciatica. Oh, and if you are a female patient you are just overly emotional. Steer clear.

Had bilateral knee replacement. Right leg noticeably knock kneed. He made no comment about it. HE would never allow more than 1 week's worth of hydrocodone, and was out of town both weekends after my surgery and did not return calls requesting renewal of meds. Had to call GP for help until Orenstein returned to office. He never spoke with me after surgery, got more info from anathesiologist who visited me twice. Do not recommend this doctor for surgery of such importance.

In my stunned opinion I find him Very rude. Very harsh. Gave me a cortisone shot. Called him at 8pm. Called me back promptly. I told him I was in extreme pain. He said he didn't give pain medication. He said,"I told you that your knee would improve in about 3-4 days." So it was acceptable for me to be in extreme pain for 4 days. He said he couldn't just keep giving me pain medication! He never had! I told him that I had to take 2 vicodin for pain. He ignored that. Gave me ten pills to take one at a time. I would never go to this doctor again. He lacks compassion.

Experienced and knowing in joint replacement. He explained what would happen, length of recovery and the amount of pain to expect.
