Iu Health Arnett Hospital's Online Review Report Card

My mother presented to the ER with transient ischemic attacks (TIA). The physician performed a CT without contrast despite contrast being recommended for stroke-like symptoms and cleared her to fly the next day. After flying, she promptly had another TIA. Luckily we were able to have her admitted to my hospital, where she was promptly diagnosed and appropriately treated.As a healthcare provider, I'm especially disgusted by IU Health's blatant disregard for my mother and their inability to follow basic stroke protocols.

Dr. Weeks was thorough, but she didn't tell her adult patients she was only going to do pediatrics. Didn't find out until she wouldn't renew my maintenance bp, thyroid and gerd meds. Dr. Wu cardiologist had nothing to do with the patient, just orders multiple non necessary test, half of which were screwed up by the tech and just shues you out of the procedure without any explanations. The third one today Dr. Hazbun took confirmed some info in the computer, stated all of her patient will have mammogram and said I would have a physical performed later by her nurse practitioner. She just listened to my lungs and heart, did not address the concern I had that she asked me about and refused to give me my bone density results. The only Dr. I have found who acts like a Doctor was Dr. Rachael Morgan an Endocrinologist . Everyone else seems to be just selling tests. Also they won't let you pay your copay right away, but fail to send statements in a timely manner. All I have received are 2nd notices. I pay my bills on time. I'm gonna be looking into Franciscan Health and see if I can't find someone who is going to do more than just sell tests and specialist appts Want a good PCP, Dr. Michael Allen, internist at St. Mary's in Evansville, IN. This is the second time we have chose IU to give birth. Both children had to be in the NICU, and while it is a hard time I am thankful we chose IU. They are supportive and allow a parent to be as involved as possible. I really would recommend this hospital to anyone.

My husband was there for 2 weeks and left in worse shape than when he came in. I would go anywhere else!

IU Arnett killed my infant son with their poor maternal and inpatient care. If you’re pregnant or plan to be, avoid IU at all costs.

Alok Harwani MD is an amazing ED physician!! My husband and I went into the ED department. My husband was the patient, and MD Harwani answered every single question without hesitation. I am a nurse, and had a list of questions in regards to my husbands labs/procedures performed. Very knowledge and comforting. He explained everything in detail, and took his time with us. I want to personally thank Dr. Ali and ALL of the many other doctors, nurses, and other staff members that saved my life. I had a massive heart attack in July and if it were not for their actions and continued efforts to revive me, I would not be here with my wife and kids today. I also want to thank the sitters that sat with me while recovering. It was emotionally and physically tough and just talking with them got me through a lot. Dr Ali kept telling me I would get home to my family and that it was his goal as much as mine which was very inspiring to me personally. I am doing very well and recovering more each day.
