List of Jay D. Schlaifer's Reviews
Dr.Schlaifer was kind, informative and explained everything in detail. He made everything easy to understand. My husband is his patient but let's me sit in with him.
Dr. Schlaifer is very thorough, asks you questions and then gives you time to ask. I always have questions and he always answers them. I feel that he is concerned about me and my health. He definitely intervened during a critical time in my life and helped me through some serious heart issues. I trust his judgement. He has been my cariologist for 10 years. The staff is very helpful and pleasant.
Discussed all issues. Listened to my my concerns. Was friendly, smiling, and nursing staff is great too! Prescription refilled promptly. Didn't wait long and I love e- check in.
Required to arrive 30 minutes before appt. Waited 15 minutes to go back and was told I was getting in early because the patient ahead of me cancelled. I don't understand why I need to be early just so I can wait. Dr. Schlaifer attended my husband when he had a mild heart attack. He was amazing. Confident, assertive with the hospital staff that had neglected us all night. The Knight in Shining Armor, if you will. When I developed a need to see a cardiologist, I insisted it be him. That has not been my experience with him at all. Quick visits, almost no conversation (or personality, for that matter). No doubt competent, but certainly not the aura I expected.
Having just met Dr. Schlaifer for the first time, I found him to be thorough, courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. The staff here should be commended as well and I've always been treated professionally.
Dr Schlaifer is very thorough. He is very easy to communicate with and explains everything very well. Makes me feel like my health is as important to him as it is to me. He definitely knows his stuff!!
As a 50+ women, I felt marginalized, and my health concerns discounted. His demeanor was cocky and condescending. He spent 10 minutes, and let me leave with a BP of 138/100 with no intervention. Didn’t ask for other history of elevated BPs (it’s been as high as 190’s/130’s); he cut me off frequently dismissing my responses. I have CYP450 polymorphisms and do not respond to many medications as expected and the dr told me I had too many allergies for him to prescribe something for my blood pressure, and referred me back to my PCP - who had told me to see a specialist. Without even taking a health history, the office staff performed an EKG which showed sinus tachycardia @ 104. I was told that at my age is when high blood pressure shows up. I feel like there was no interest in treating me because he wouldn’t be ordering expensive procedures so he refused to treat me. As a nurse, I had respected him. As a patient seeking answers, I was marginalized as a woman. #Hippocraticoath
Very attentive. Has the ability to explain things to patients at their level. My years of seeing him have always been positive, very compassionate.
Was very friendly and and took interest in my health. Then he explains what and how he is going to track my progress.
Very timely and professional. Thorough and attentive to patient care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
