Surgical skills are excellent and after ending up in hospital for a bleeding issue that had over 20 dr in a training hospital on my case that repeatedly said how great it looked and surprised it was only a week out. Have to give him a 5. He is the only ine in the office I would let work on knee. Bowman if it was upper body needs would be my only other choice

Thank you Dr. Virkler, Taylor and the rest of the team. Thanks to your decision to replace my knees I am getting my life back. I’ve begged for years to many Orthopedic Doctors only to be told no because of my age and being to young. Dr. Virkler looked outside of normal practice and chose to help me and change the next 30 years of life for me. I had a great surgery and post op care.

I’m a former Team USA athlete and multiple time World and Pan American Medalist. From all of my years of training and competing, I’ve had my fair share of injuries. With the network and opportunity to work with some of the best sports doctors around, I choose Dr Virkler because he is one of the best and brightest. When looking for a surgeon you hope to find someone extremely good at what they do, as well as someone who will listen to you cared and concerns and will be extremely honest with you about what is best for your health. I’ve known Dr Virkler for over 20 years and He is one of the most caring and gifted surgeons that you could ever want in your time of need

Dr.V has compassion.and understanding the patient. He fixed my botched hip of 4 yrs I could barely walk. He actually saved my life. I highly recommend him.he goes put of his way to make sure your healing nicely and for there therapy was the best I ever had. I've had 3 replacements and this was the last one. It been 8 yrs now and I've never walked straight up .MARVELOUS.

Highly recommended. Gave me comfort prior to surgery with pray. Takes the time to discuss any and all of your concerns. And his staff is wonderful, as well.

May 7, 2019, Joel Virkler did a full knee replacement on my left knee . He had wanted to do both my knees at the same time but I decided not to . I wish I had never had the surgery ! The knee is no better then before and as a result I have not yet had surgery on my right knee . Each step I take is painful ! Virkler didn’t provide any help to resolve the problem ! I wish I had selected a surgeon with more experience ! When presented with a problem he gets defensive and starts talking faster, signs of his insecurity about his abilities !

I had a great experience with Dr Virkler. His bedside manner is very calm and reassuring. He takes time to explain the surgery and what to expect afterwards. Could go on and on about his good qualities. Will definitely refer him to friends and family
