List of Peter J. Torok's Reviews
I had shoulder replacement surgery . Dr. Torok and his staff are amazing! Dr. Torok takes the time to explain issues, treatments as well as address any questions and concerns his patients may have. His staff is professional and courteous and always available for questions or concerns. I am glad I had the surgery. I am happy with the outcome and recovering nicely. I would highly recommend him and his staff. Bob
He is a foul mouth and not professional. As well as his staff. Zero compassion for his clients.
Dr Torok is an awesome Dr. I would recommend him to anyone. He calls his patients to the room and is very easy to talk to and down to earth!!!
Operated on me two separate occasions. One for broken hand and the other for carpal tunnel. Magnificent doctor who really cares about his patients! Does a tremendous job explaining prior to surgery and a great job with care after surgery. My family will not see any other orthopaedic surgeon.
Dr. Torok, is cocky, condescending, patronizing and seems bothered or put off by normal patient care. I also, was told everything was okay after he removed the my cast, even though I was still in pain and unable to use my hand/wrist. Accused me of wanting medicine! Went for another opinion, and my wrist and thumb were still broken!! Tried to inform his office, and no one would even talk to me.
Dr. Torok is FABULOUS! I would never see anyone else for orthopaedic issues. He fixed my broken hand and my broken finger (different issues at different times). He had a great attitude and is very honest. No one else will ever operate on me but him!
Went in with osteoarthritis of my knees. We discussed my options. Knee replacement was done. I was treated with respect even being I am on Medicaid. Everything was explained and Dr. Torok took the time to go over everything. There were no surprises post op. He did spend the time I required when talking with me about my pain meds. My needs were addressed quickly by him. I plan to have my other knee done this Spring and can not imagine going anywhere else but to Dr. Took.
He was the only doctor to take care of my twin grandsons when they had injuries. Including a broken arm at a 43 degree that our local ER didn't want to bother the Ortho who also did not want to ruin his Memoril weekend but Dr. Torok met us at another hospital on Lafayette. A year later he was right there to help the other twin when he fractured his arm.
I was still having problems almost a year after surgery and having been told there's nothing wrong, I got a second opinion. After taking multiple x-rays and actually checking out my knee (which was not done before), I was told that the implant was not put in correctly and needs to be redone. Not happy.
Rather than tell us he did not want to treat our son with disabilities (probably assumed he was on Medicaid and didn't want the lower reimbursement rates), he told us there was not a problem after six shoulder dislocations. Found an excellent and compassionate doctor in Indy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
