Dr. Oates diagnosed me with type-1 diabetes more than 25 years ago when I was a graduate student at Purdue. She and her staff were kind, caring, and positive. They helped me realize that a scary disease was a manageable one. Though I moved from West Lafayette long ago, I will forever be grateful for the care she provided. i would recommend her to anyone who needs an endrocrinologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Oates since 1986. She is very understanding and listens to your concerns and opinions. Dr. Oates is very passionate about her patients and takes the necessary time with you. Is very knowledge about Diabetes and speaks in terms in which you can understand. Very considerate of others. All round she is an excellent Medical Doctor and an awesome individual.

She wanted me use her dietian. Already had one setup. She wasn't very helpful. Started messing with my diabetes with different meds.was late to appointment.

She is the Best.... she listens she cares she helps

Dr. Oates has been my endocrinologist for more than twenty years. In keeping with best practices, she remains up to date with the information about the latest studies, medications, and techniques in her area of concentration. Best of all, Dr. Oates is down to earth, and while a realist, she is not an alarmist. She is both humorous and compassionate. Best of all, she gives you time to talk and she listens!

Love Dr Oates. So easy to talk to. Down to earth speaks in terms you can understand. Staff is great! Calls are promptly returned and questions are quickly answered. Would recommend without hesitation.

Dr Oats is a great physician and person. I am probably one of the worst patients she has worked with. I go for my visit, become all excited in starting fresh and doing what she suggests and then as soon as I walk out of her office I forget everything she said. However she lets me return and over the years I am doing better at following thru with her suggestions. She's kind and very intelligent regarding her professional skills and probably anything else she attempts. More than one of my Purdue professor colleagues have told me she was the most intelligent student they ever worked with and I believe that is absolutely true.

Seeing Dr. Oates is quite far from where I live. I transferred from the University of Chicago Hospital. I am so happy I switched! Much of the well being with Diabetes is common sense coming from the patients! I see Dr. Oates on a regular schedule without a single visit with a complaint. There is nothing better than having a doctor that can speak to you down to Earth and not a prerecorded voice,.... if you know what I mean! My thyroid and Diabetes are well under control with her help. She keeps me informed of the latest technology and lets me know what to do if I want to change things. I thank her for helping me control my good health!

Dr Oates is an amazing endocrinologist! She spends enough time with me and is extremely knowledgeable. She keeps up with and implements the newest treatments. I recommend her to everyone I know who has diabetes!
