David Schumacher's Online Review Report Card

Dr Schumacher is the BEST Dr I have ever personally been to. Wonderful bedside manner, is extremely knowledgeable in many areas, explains everything in detail and breaks it all down so you can understand it, very caring and truly just wants to help you reach your full potential!! I highly recommend!! He saved my life and I am forever grateful

Went into hospital,had female and this surgeon also. He amazing doctor. Both good. But this one is great.

Excellent surgeon. He is compassionate, knowledgeable , easy to talk to and relates exceptionally well. Completely satisfied with Dr. Schumacher and my whole experience. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Let me start by informing everyone that Schumacher lost his license in the state of Ohio. He is now practicing in Indiana. He preformed the RNY procedure on my best friend 10 years ago. Since then she’s had over 60 surgeries (all have been unsuccessful)to fix what he did wrong. She’s eats through a feeding tube and is waiting on a complete revision. This man fled because he has ruined so many lives. I know when he’s good he’s good. You may be one of the lucky ones. This man shouldn’t be allowed to practice anywhere. If you have experienced anything like this because of him please let me know by creating a review on here.

He just abandoned his patients with no explanation, no warning. That is a highly unprofessional move. No one will tell us anything. He gets zero stars. They push us about the importance of follow up care, then abandon us without any regards to our follow up care. For this reason, I'm glad he's gone. Jarod G gets 5 stars because he is great! If ever I have a complication that requires the surgeon, I just hope whoever may see me is good, kind etc.

Had my sleeve on September 11, 2018. I have had zero problems. I feel so much better about myself. My health has improved. I was given a much better quality of life. I couldn't be more grateful. I'm a little confused as to whether he is or is not still at the Miamisburg office or in bariatrics. I can't seem to find any answers on that, or who I am suppose to see now. I know I got a letter a while back about the office moving, but I lost it. That's on me. So I am not sure where to go for my upcoming appt. I'm sure I'll figure it out. However, we do deserve straight answers. We trust these surgeons with our lives, and they stress follow up care is of most importance. So, who will now do my follow up care if he's gone? Feeling a little abandoned. I do see Jarod most of the time, I think I've seen Dr. Schumacher twice since surgery. Jarod is awesome! I am still giving this office all stars because I do feel I was very much taken care of and at this time have had zero issues post surgery.

He deserves nothing but my scathing words. After interviewing 4 Docs doing gastric bypass he was as attentive and kind and a hometown boy. Nine years later he turned into a jackal

He saved my life

Had sleve done in 2014. Hematoma within a week of going home. Leak within 2 weeks. Forgot to take my Bard recalled IVC filter out. Spent time in Lifecare where most of his patients end up going. Throwing up almost daily for 3 years. And those 2 he had running around with him. Kettering should have gotten rid of him long time ago.
