Dr. Usmani is professional and friendly. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and explain everything throughly in a way you can understand. He takes a holistic approach to medicine and treatment. I highly recommend!

Dr. Usmani at Lakeshore Bone & Joint has gone above and beyond in treating my left ankle injuries as well, he performed my reconstruction of my ligaments in my left ankle. As I recovered I've had some hiccups in recovery as well as new issues arise. But he hasn't given up and he has even been willing to have one of his Partners look at my case just to have a second opinion and the second set of eyes to see if they are missing anything. These doctors go above and beyond for their patience and do whatever they can to ensure a successful recovery no matter the injury. Update... I am still receiving amazing care from Dr. Usmani... I developed what we think is an osteochondral defect in my tibia oh, and we've come up with a plan to treat. While I am still on this journey to get back to the sport I love Lakeshore Bone & Joint has gone above and beyond to ensure My ultimate goal of returning to sport is met. Let's get this show on the road and get me back on the slopes. A big shout-out goes to Dr U, who asked his colleague for an additional opinion and then came up with a plan. It really does take a village to help athletes return to what they love. Update number two, over the past 9 months of recovered from my second surgery well and I've caused myself some hiccups but the amazing care I've gotten from Dr Usmani is still hands down amazing. I have a follow up with him on Monday and I'm looking forward to figuring out our next steps moving forward. Even though my ankle has plans of its own, Dr Usmani is still committed to getting me back to what I love... snowboarding 🏂 while I may be looking at surgery number three same ankle, he is looking at all potential opportunities to make me functional in both Sport and life I'm thankful for the care I am receiving and is helping me move forward even though it feels like it's taken forever. It's not his fault just my body deciding to be complicated. Apparently I turned 40 and my body said no! No matter the outcome moving forward I'm confident in my team I have at Lakeshore Bone & Joint and I'm thankful beyond all words. I'll continue to update. Update #3 While I would love to say the ankle made a miraculous recovery, unfortunately surgery #3 is scheduled, as well as a pre-op second opinion. To quote Dr. Usmani, "Partly insurance and partly because your case is complex. More opinions. Less chance of missing anything." and for that I am grateful. I don't know any other physician who would ensure the best chance for a positive outcome. I am over here just rolling with the punches and knowing that even though I have a huge medical background, my Doctors KNOW BEST! Fingers crossed that next snowboard season, I will be back at nationals and pursuing the national para-snowboard team. (that is all dependent on if I get the green light from Dr. Usmani, and PT)
