Dr. Shin was direct and to the point about my umbilical hernia upon my initial visit for consolation. As a younger male (30), he told me it would be simple and no mesh would be necessary due to the size of the hernia. He was exactly right, my surgery was over and done with in a matter of hours and was home before I knew it. Now, 3 months later, the side he operated on almost seems to be stronger than the ‘normal’ side. Trustworthy and capable are the two words I use to describe Dr. Shin

I had to be admitted into the hospital for an urgent matter. Dr Shinn was the Dr that followed up after the emergency room visit. He made me feel comfortable right from the start. He took the time to explain everything and made sure I understood. He listened to my questions and answered every one of them. Follow up with his office was a breeze as well. Clean offices, fantastic staff and quick appointments. I appreciate everything he and his staff did for me as I was recuperating from surgery!!!

Dr. Shin was the surgeon on call for my sudden appendectomy. He was kind and calming. After visits with him were informative. He took care to be sure any concerns I had were addressed.

Due to a complication from surgery 5 yrs. ago, I needed to have abdomen surgery and was put on the schedule immediately thanks to Dr. Shinn. After assessing the symptoms and ordering the appropriate tests I was then taken to surgery. He was able to take care of the infection and informed us of why this was happening. He was in to see me at the hospital each day and was making sure that the appropriate IV and meds were being given. I went home well educated in how to take care of the wound and all was set up for a home health nurse to monitor my healing process. I continued with follow up appointments and he always spent time answering my questions and helping me to stay positive throughout the healing time. I have since begun hyperbaric treatments which have helped to heal the area quickly and would recommend that hyperbaric treatment be considered for post op patients. Thanks Dr. Shin for always making me feel positive and that he's always there for questions and concerns that I have.
