John Peterson's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Peterson is one of those rare physicians who is a genuinely *gifted* diagnostician, due in no small part to his desire to really LISTEN to everything that his patient is telling him. He’s one of the few physicians I’ve known who truly treats the patient on a ‘holistic’ level, and doesn’t use that word for its current marketing impact! He keeps current on all of the cutting-edge research & treatments while also leaning toward a more likely ‘easier on the patient’ treatment plan, @least to try first, before recommending the latest and newest (one more likely to not be fully covered by the health insurance plan!) which often saves wasted ‘emotional capital’, all especially important when the patient has already seen other docs before going to see him! He’s the ‘perfect’ balance of kindness, gentleness and real caring, always willing to admit if he’s not certain about something, and then he’ll go and do research to try to help! I’ve known a lot of physicians and he’s one of the BEST!

Dr. Peterson treats you as if you were his only patient. When you are in his exam room he listens carefully and asks meaningful questions. He never appears to be in a hurry while talking to me. It is easy to feel that I am his only patient. If you want personal care and a good listener, he is a great doctor. If you are in a hurry and resent waiting 20 minutes or more for your appointment, find another doctor. He is intuitive, thoughtful, and very competent. He listens carefully and remembers details. He uses traditional medical procedures as well as Auyurvedic practices.

Muncie residents are so fortunate to have Dr. Peterson nearby. I live in Cincinnati & heard of him here long before I was able to see him in Muncie. I am forever grateful I was finally able to come there and receive care from this special family medicine practice. I aspire to return--I hope and pray before they retire!

Dr. Peterson is a great doctor but office staff is rude, inconsiderate of patient concerns & unhelpful. I called for a release form for a pt. Hours later, I hadn't received the fax so I called to request to have it re-sent. The lady that answered - Jen (I believe), was so rude. I asked for a manager and Ruth got on the phone. She said look lady you need to calm down or I'm gonna hang up on you. I wasn't even yelling! I had to ask her several times not to talk over me. Terribly dissatisfied.

I have not had a better doctor yet!

My name is Matt im using my gf computer and i recently went to Dr. Peterson for a lifelong problem that I have and he helped me out in ways that I cant him thank him enough. Because of him now my family life is better than ever,my job is going 10x bettter and this has been by far the best month ive had in awhile. I have been a patient of Dr. Peterson my entire life (30 years), and my entire family goes to him as well. His office staff may have some issues (rudeness, long waits), but those have been getting better lately, and Dr. Peterson makes it all worth it. He is very knowledgeable about alternative medicines and therapies and knows the best ways to combine these with traditional medicine to get you the best treatment. He is very kind and understanding. I now live an hour away from his office but still make the drive to see him because I haven't yet found a better doctor.

I have been a patient for 30 years. Dr Peterson is a great doctor but lets his staff treat people with disrespect. His Office will not accept my insurace co-pay so we paid whole office visit charge up front. We told the staff person to make sure insurance claim stated thet check was to be sent to paient but when his office submited the claim to my insurance they had payment sent to Dr. Peterson instead. So now they have colleted twice for one visit.

I feel that trying to get ahold of the dr is very hard. You always talk to someone at a different building. The whole process goes thru to many people. It always takes days to get what you need to know and they always say call back the next day.
