I have been a patient of Dr. Bhat’s for about a year now. Meridian office staff is wonderful (I go for my PCP, OBGYN, CBT, and psychiatric services!), Val (Bhat’s nurse/assistant) is wonderful, and Bhat is extremely thoughtful and an excellent listener. I see a therapist in addition to Dr. Bhat’s treatment, but Dr. Bhat almost does both jobs in her sessions. She always takes plenty of time to talk to me about how I’m feeling and why to make sure I’m doing well and she makes knowledgeable adjustments based on my reports. I would recommend her to any and all of my friends!

The nurse Valerie is very rude and hangs the phone up without saying goodbye.This has happened several time. I think she is very unprofessional at her job.

Friendly, professional and polite. Blessed to have a great psychiatrist in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Bhat has a wonderful office support staff!

She asked me three to four basic questions do you want to commit suicide, how are you feeling, any side effects from the meds. She acted like she didn't care about making me better, the only thing she cared about was giving me meds

Would not recommend, is somewhat hard to understand and seems to get agravated if you have to ask again. Does not seem to enjoy her job. Not friendly or comforting.

She has made emergency appointments for me a few times. She has explainted med & discussed side affects, especially when those side affects may be severe. After a med switch, she makes early-return appointments to discuss how the med is affecting me. When I don't like the med & have decided I don't want to take it, she often gives me information on a couple meds & let's me decide which one to try. She has been very patient with me & believe me, I have tested her patience many times.
