List of Deaconess Clinic Urgent Care And Comp Center Gateway's Reviews
The doctor we saw was very nice. He talked with us and prescribed what was needed and told us our next steps if we needed something else. The lady who checked us out was also very nice. When I called back a little over a week later (following the next steps I was given), the person who answered the phone was very rude in how she was responding to me and was of absolutely no help to me at all. Hopefully she can get some training on how to respond nicely to people while on the phone.
Brought my daughter in for a very obvious broken finger. We had to wait for over an hour with those coming in after us, going back before us. No X-ray ordered. The doctor was completely incompetent. I had to ASK for an X-ray. Thank goodness I did! Heading to OA tomorrow so they can ACTUALLY help us! NEVER AGAIN!
Not exactly the shinning star of the Deaconess Gateway Campus. Receptionist had food at her desk and was eating while doing check in.. with food in her mouth. She called my wife's name several times. I finally went up and asked her who she was calling for. She said.. you can't expect me to pronounce these foreign names ..not professional at all
No wait! Great service and costs a lot less than the ER next door.
My husband is literally sitting at this location at an appointment as we speak. The nurse asked why he was being seen today and when he told her, she told him I don't need to hear all that tell the doctor. This was only after they asked him why he came there instead of his regular doctor. This is the rudest location ever. Aside from one clerk at the front desk, this location needs serious retraining and/or a whole new staff. This is ridiculous. I would give it zero stars if possible!
Made an appointment for my 95 year old mother. It made no difference. We were told we were pushed back because of the high volume of patients.Waited 60+ minutes. Next time going to Ascension Sr. Vincent on Epworth.
I always attempt to go to this location and I’ve had the worst luck. Within 10 minutes of being here, the receptionist and a patient were screaming at one another and arguing. Another visit, they told me I had to pay out of pocket although I have good insurance. I called a different location and they assured me that’s not the case and that insurance covers it. Sad that this is a good location but the staff is questionable…..
Unbeknownst to us, the PA at Urgent Care failed to provide us with an actual lab order after specifically saying we were going to a private lab. Once we arrived at the lab & were told the provider failed to put it in the discharge paperwork, we called Urgent Care & requested the provider send/fax/call the lab order in to the lab. We were then told that was impossible and that we would have to drive back to Deaconess Urgent Care & get the paper copy. 100% unprofessional and we spoke to three different people at Urgent Care and all three were rude!
The front desk medical staff were rude and condescending when I asked simple questions about the location of one of GATEWAYS dozens on buildings. I received no help. The ER was packed and I will remain in pain. THANKS
I went in for possible broken ankle. They let me check in go to the room to tell me that they have no X-ray machine, my husband had to wheel me to ER for X-ray , not a big deal. They told me if it’s broke we can’t treat with boot or crutches, it was a bad sprain and they wrapped it. We then had to go to wal mart to get crutches I had to stay off it for at least 3 days!! If broken I would have then on Monday to a ortho dr! This was a Saturday no ortho open!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
