I saw dr Trowbridge in the Avon office yesterday all of a sudden he said u need to see a surgeon an they will handle your meds I have a stimulator implanted and don’t know what to do now dr Trowbridge just left my room an I felt he owed me explanation on what to do about the stimulator he implanted I guess I’m no longer a patient of his he never said just left me hanging
Would not recommend this Doctor to anyone! I First of all I waited in a surgery center in Ft Wayne for 4 1/2 hours to get operated on! Said he couldn’t get a stimulator placed because I had scarring up my back from my old stimulator. Instead of moving wires he stopped the operation! The doctor who put in my new 4 prong wires said it wasn’t true! There was absolutely no scarring in my back! from my 2 prong one stimulator It put me in a deep depression because of the pain and not doing his job! He was over 4 hours late and had 3 patients after me! They have also changed my surgery time to 1pm that day. I was scheduled for 8 am arrival for a 9:30am surgery! Now they said my surgery was scheduled for 1pm. Any sane person would not show up 4 hours early for surgery! He sent me home with no pain relief for a 1 1-2 drive home! I was in so much pain my sister was ready to go back to surgery center! Just stay away! He callled me Honey instead of my name!
Doesn’t have a very friendly attitude. He thinks he’s a miracle worker. Doesn’t care what you have to say it’s his way or no way. Not impressed at all.
Dr trowbridge and his staff have always been very caring and helpful. Dr trowbridge always ask do you need anything else. I will follow him anywhere he goes if I can. I highly recommend him. Vikki adams
His God complex is worse than most surgeons. Communication from his office is horrible. Waited a week for a prescription he promised. Called 3 times and never received a call back. His phone goes to a call center answered by people with heavy accents who are difficult to understand. His nurse told me to schedule physical therapy at a specific location. When I got to my appointment 3 weeks later they still did not have paperwork from the doctor.
Doesn’t even deserve one star. He’s has the worst bed side manger that I’ve even seen in a doctor and I’ve seen a lot due to (14) surgeries so I got a pain pump put in not by my choice mostly pushed into it then lost my good doctor due to the pain pump rep! Took over because he’s always with this so called dr. Trobridge, so I’m stuck with this pos doctor due to can’t change my insurance I’m on ssi for a reason because of chronic pain everyday. With that being said he just took my bouls away my first appointment then took my oral pain medicine away even they he hasn’t even upped my pump since once I’ve been doing this for over 4months now since and I will be filling a complaint with the medicine board also. Just do research before you ever see this so called doctor. He’s difficult and definitely not any kind of compassion for your pain. But he does go on a lot of vacations must get plenty of money for NOT HELPING ANYONE FOR PAIN, he seems to think what he’s doing is something great! Well all he does is send you in to withdrawals, pain, and could careless, think he really was a jock who didn’t make it so he decided to take it out on people who go to him for help. Yet it’s a bad idea! I never wanted to leave my other doctor. Don’t listen to the pain pump reps they work for him also now his new call center bs is the other issue you will never get a call back from them, they could careless about anything they want a vacation too but can’t because he has to listen to all the calls that he messed up, but all they say is I’ll message him he over books people I went for a appointment at 11am and there was 5 more people with the same time. He’s in the room less then 5 mins and makes you feel so rush! You can’t even think that fast I have serve anxiety so can’t even feel like I’m at a safe place there. Idk what else to do but deal with him until I find a new one. And it will be nothing with his office, staff, network. Nothing!
Dr. Trobridge implanted a spinal cord stimulator almost a year ago and it has changed my life. I could not be happier with it! However, I have since “fired” this doctor. Dr. Trobridge has a gross lack of communication with the patient. I was warned of this ahead of time but did not realize the degree to which it would be experienced. He gave no explanation of procedures or why he had chosen one over the other. No concern for questions. Always seems rushed and distant. One example, as he looked at my MRI in preparation for a nerve ablation (which he described only as we’ll burn them) he said wait! This is unusual. In fact I’ve never seen it before! I’m going to send you to a surgeon. Nothing more, no explanation, no time for questions as he rushed out. But I had recognized the name as that of a local oncologist. Apparently Dr. Trobridge has a lack of communication with his staff also. This referral to the surgeon never happened. But I did finally learn it was only a coincidence that the surgeon’s name was the same as that of the oncologist. And it seems there may be some lack of communication among Dr. Trobridge’s staff. He had told me a series of procedures would be done hours apart and at a later date he confirmed that. Upon reading the paperwork I was given by staff, I discovered the procedures had to be done weeks apart. I questioned the difference, staff confirmed it would be weeks, not hours. Because of difficulties with personal arrangements I then cancelled the entire procedure. Still, someone called days later for me to fill out registration paperwork for the procedure I had cancelled. Finally at a previous surgical procedure, Dr. Trobridge seems to have had lack of communication with the anesthesiologist. I had no idea I could scream so loudly or how it would echo in surgery room when knife was used before anesthesia took effect! Unless you are comfortable being treated as an object rather than a person in pain, you may want to consider a different doctor.
He fired me based on a lie told to him by his incompetent receptionist. Don't waste your time! He never explained details about my pain pump, didn't do the first surgery correct and never spent more than 30 seconds in the exam room with me. Never explained how the pump worked and never mentioned that if it broke, I'd go through opiate withdrawal.
My wife is the actual patient but I was present for most appointments. Dr T spent almost no actual time in appointments and didn't answer questions or even give an opportunity for questions to be asked. The most that he spoke to her was all the reasons that he would refuse to treat her. He never once explained how the meds get dosed from the pump, showed either one of us the pump that was being implanted in her back or even what type of medicine was actually in said pump. After his office transitioned to a different private practice they outsourced all incoming calls from patients. Dr T works at a minimum of 3 different locations in the central Indianapolis area which made it difficult to reach him before and after the outsourcing it was nearly impossibl. It didn't seem like my wife was set up for success as a patient or if anyone actually cared if she did. To top it off he fired her as a patient based on a lie and wouldn't listen to her at all. He broke her heart and shldnt b a Dr
He has been nothing but helpful and kind. Very caring doctor I don't know what I'd do without him. Office visits takes awhile but it's worth it. He is genuinely interested in helping his patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
