List of Takunda Mugwisi's Reviews
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable. The appointment was right on time and I was seen by the nurse followed by Dr. Mugwisi promptly. Dr. Mugwisi has an excellent bedside manner. He was comforting, polite and very reassuring, regarding my treatment. I would recommend him to my friends and family regarding gynecology services. I left the appointment really glad that I chose his practice.
I absolutely love Dr Mugwisi. I am very picky when it comes to physicians. I have been seeing Dr Mugwisi since our first appointment 3 years ago
I had a great experience with Dr. Mugwisi, thank you!
Dr. Mugwisi is a great physician. Fantastic bedside manner.
I’d been trying desperately to find a new OBGYN after a long messed up history with my prior. I have a traumatic history with both assault and medical facilities so I was nervous to come here in the first place, explained this to them, but they were the first ones available that accepted my insurance. The first appointment was very insightful, the ultrasound tech showed and explained everything to me in amazing detail and it was super appreciated. Once I saw Dr. Mugwisi, he had told me he wanted me to do blood work and a Pap smear (even though I had had one in 2021 while pregnant) to compare the results to rule out any other issues outside of PCOS. Had me sign paperwork for them to receive the prior results and did a Pap smear that day. I saw him again a week later, and asked about my Pap smear and my blood work results. He told me the Pap smear wasn’t in yet and “give it two weeks and you’ll get a letter in the mail with the results”. A month later was my next appointment and I hadn’t received anything. So when I went in, I told the check in nurse that I wanted to know what my results of my Pap were since I never got anything in the mail. She wrote on the paper that I never had one and -wanted- a Pap smear. So he comes in and says “so you want one?” I explain the situation. And he then chose to argue with me that he didn’t do one because the lady wrote that on the paper. So I argue back and explain what he told me at the last appointment, remind him about the paperwork he had me sign, etc. Round and round we went. Finally, after about 5 minutes of this he says “let me go talk to the nurses and see what’s going on”. When he comes back in, he says “I didn’t do one.” I push again because I KNOW what a Pap smear feels like, then he tells me it was just standard STD testing. And I said no, it was a Pap smear. You even told me the results would be in in two weeks. He then said “Well then I probably just didn’t send it since you had one a year prior. So if I did one I just didn’t send it in.” I get upset and reiterate what he just said and all I got was “My bad if I did that and told you that.” He then says “If you want one we can do one”. (Why would I trust you to do that to me again?????!). I also double checked about the ultrasound with him, to try to understand why one ovary was black on the ultrasound and the other was grey it’s so full. And he said “no it wouldn’t be black because we would’ve said something if it was.” But I tried to explain to him that I was literally LOOKING at the ultrasound they printed off for me that day and how my right one was completely black. And the response I got was incredibly condescending with the way he said it. “When you don’t know what you’re looking at it’s hard to know what you’re looking for”. It made me feel like a moron. I had such high hopes for this place, and really tried to overcome my anxiety about seeing a male OBGYN, and am so sorely disappointed. Now, not only do I have to search for a new OBGYN that I can actually trust, I’ll most likely have to go through another Pap smear which is traumatizing on its own for me because this doctor decided to perform one and just not send it off. Despite my best efforts to explain to them my history and how things needed to be approached, I feel very shafted and violated at this point. And angry. All I got out of these appointments was “yeah you have PCOS but we just can’t figure out why it still hurts.” I will not be returning to this OBGYN or any of its other facilities.
Very friendly and professional both the girls up front and Dr. Mugwisi
Love Dr. mugwisi
He was very nice, helpful, and informative. I obviously have alot of questions as this is my first pregnancy, and he answered them all and didn't sound annoyed in the slightest. My husband came with me to my first appointment because I was under the impression that we would be having our first ultrasound aswell. Turns out we weren't scheduled for one, but he and the staff in the office managed to squeeze us in anyway since my husband took off work to be there for that. We were very pleased!
The all time best DR .. very patient & kind .. explains things honestly and throughly! Has delivered 3 out of the 4 of my kids and I’d never let anyone else after meeting DR Mugwisi. We can’t thank Him enough for getting our babies here safely and helping me through tough pregnancies ! Thank you DR Mugwisi!! God bless you !

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
