Syed Moazzem's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to him from a neighboring town after bloodwork came back with possibility of Lupus or RA. He seen me for a total of 5 minutes. Never went any further with what my blood work said. Pushed on my shoulders and said I had fibromyalgia and that was about it. Do not recommend, I didn’t feel like he took my symptoms seriously and a year later I’m still in much pain.

I've seen Dr. Moazzem twice and from my initial visit I felt like he was another one of those doctors that dismisses you before they actually hear what you're saying. It was by sheer luck that I mentioned my psoriasis right before he was going to end the appointment and that's when it hit him that I actually could potentially have a rheumatological condition. He ordered labs and what do you know I have not 1 but 2 types of arthritis and a subsequent diagnosis as a result of one of the arthritis conditions. So, he started me on treatment and I followed up with him after to discuss how the med was working. I expressed concern about a potential side effect and he immediately went on a scientific lecture about how my symptoms in no way were related to the medication I was taking and he sent me on my merry way. 2 weeks later I speak with my psychiatrist who actually cares about my medical issues and I mentioned it to him and with good ol' Google in less than 1 minute found a correlation between my symptoms and the medication. I called Dr. Moazzem to tell him exactly how upset I was at his condescending "I'm a doctor so I know all and don't question me attitude" and got a semi apology with lots of "I'm sorry you felt that way but.. ." Now, 4 months after starting treatment, continuing with the same med as I considered the risks of stopping were greater than the side effect, arthritis has worsened to a degree that it my ability to do every day activities is greatly affected. I'm in pain, stiff, weak, fatigued. So I call and get an appointment to see him in 2 weeks. I decide to send him a message through the patient portal. The next day, I get a vague response from his nurse about something else and does not address my issues. I ask her about it and she says Oh he only send the first part (first 2 sentences) and assumed it wasn't anything important so he sent it to her. HE DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO READ THE DAMN MESSAGE!!! So, she send it back to him and she responds the next day (2 days after my first message telling him I can't even keep my arms up to wash my hair or pick up my daughter) and his reply is, continue treatment and we will talk about this at your follow up. ARE YOU EFFING FOR REAL??? He doesn't give a crap about me, his patient, and I'd rather crawl on my hands and knees on a dirt gravely road to a doctor that actually wants to help me than to go see him being driven in a horse drawn carriage being fed grapes and given a foot rub by Shemar Moore. Whatever you do, DO NOT waste your time going to Dr. Moazzem. You will regret it.

I've never been to a more caring Dr., one who takes his time, explains things so that he is sure you understand your diagnosis. I could not believe he was the one who called me after my lab results to go over them with me instead of his nurse. This Dr. is very knowledgeable and has a great personality..wants to do all he can to help you..great staff also!! Thank you all at Dr. Moazzem's office!
