Ahmed Abdel- Latief's Online Review Report Card

As usual the physicians are extremely knowledgeable and competent however the administration at the SBC is "incompetent."  Scheduling, doctor to patient communication are just a few of the areas that remind me of 19th century management.

Dr Latief’s experience and dedication to medicine make him one of the best cardiologists in town. Being a physician myself and patient of Dr Latief, I highly recommend him to anyone needing expertise of best cardiologist.

My mother recently had a mild heart attack. Dr. Latief was kind, funny and caring. He was very thorough with his explanation of the procedures he planned to do and then as soon as the procedure was over he came to us and explained what had been done. He drew pictures and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend him!!!

I have been with Dr. Latief since I started having problems with my heart. He has always been there for me and my sister. I trust him whole heartly. When I have a procedure to where I am put to sleep, I trust him, he makes me very comfortable. I would follow his practice where ever he goes.

I was refered to him and he put stint in my heart and is a fine doctor BUT the problem was I was Conscious the entire time as I tried with all my might to scream and move as I was in the worst agony of my entire life laying on the operating table; He screamed at me to lie still and then after I stopped moving as now I was crying in utter pain he made jokes to the staff about me thinking I couldn't hear him. When I later confronted him he gave me a blank look as I repeated verbatim what he had said in the operating room. No apology or any remorse, just shrugged and left the room. This doctor has NO Bedside manner and should NOT be interacting with patients. I would not recommend unless he was the absolutely the ONLY doctor in the world. There are so many others who are just as good it's sad he oversees the S. B. Clinic as I am sure their reviews reflect the service rendered. Thank God for my New Doctor

I would never recommend this Dr to anyone, especially women. I guess his culture has taught him to ignore and treat women like we are not worth his time, nor important enough to be clear on test results. HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED: When my husband and I were called into a small dark room where he was reviewing the results from my stress echo Dr. Latief did not turn around just motioned for me to sit in a chair. I thought ok he's looking at my chart. Still with his back to me and barely audible tells me I'm fine and stress echo tests are good only for finding large blockages and that he'll send results to my family Dr. any other question should be directed towards my family Dr. Then basically verbally tries to shove me out the door. I looked up at my husband with the expression of "Really!". My husband asks Dr. Latief a question. Then and only then when the Dr. realizes my husband is there turns around and apologizes to him for showing "him" his back. All the while still not acknowledging me. Dr Latief then goes in to a more friendly detailed description of my results. To me humans are human period. I don't judge people for they're way of life. I DO care about common courtesy especially in the medical field. If that "Doctor" can't be civil to enough to even look at me or care while I'm sitting there wondering if I may need open heart surgery, stents or I was about to drop dead right then and there, I wouldn't let him ANYWHERE near my heart!

Dr. Latief is a wonderful doctor. He is thorough, caring, considerate and knowledgeable.
