I went in for a physical with Dr. Gongwer. I had some COVID related questions.He answered my questions. But rather than giving me the “standard” CDC information; he directed me to some more “local” resources I was not aware of; educating me more about what is going on in my immediate community. He walked me through the local resource and explained what the “numbers” meant.This is a difficult time for the medical community.Taking time to not just “treat”, but also to properly educate under the most difficult circumstances; is the hallmark of a good doctor.

Dr Curtis Gongwer is by far one of the best family physicians in the area. He actively listens when meeting with me, provides meaningful and effective treatment recommendations / options and stays current in his field. He and his nurse Nancy are true professionals, dedicated to their healthcare oaths, they are trustworthy and legitimately care about their patients. I am grateful for their care!

Very poor bedside manner. Dosent listen to me when I explain symptoms. He trys to medicate instead of treat.

I was a patient of Dr.Gongwer for over 15 years . Since 2008 he has been prescribing me opiods for my pain. Now fully addicted to the opiods. He stops my medication without offering me any alternative.. This man has no compassion or empathy for his patient.

I took a chance a few years ago and became a patient only because he sees patients at night and I wouldn't have to miss work to see him. I like him so much there's no way I'd change to someone else now. He is genuine, listens to what I'm saying and doesn't rush through appointments. His nurse, Nancy, is great and returns calls promptly.

Dr. Gongwer has been my primary care physician for over 10 years. He is both wise and down to earth. He has been able to advice me in health complications that go well beyond primary care, including travel vaccinations, dermatological problems, and others. If you are looking for an excellent doctor for your family, I greatly recommend that you contact Dr. Gongwer.
