El Dr. Tatel también te puede atender con el idioma Español, eso me hizo tener más seguridad y es muy profesional en su trabajo, lo recomiendo es un Gastroenterologo muy bueno .
Very disappointed. My son had a procedure done August 18th, It is Sept 29th and still no results. I call...Oh They don't have them and then requested them ON SEPTEMBER 24th! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. OVER A MONTH AFTER THE PROCEDURE THEN REQUEST THEM! VIOLENTLY VOMITING SURE LETS WAIT LET'S HAVE HIM SUFFER MORE! Just wrong, take the blame as well don't put it on where it was done at.
Never have I been made to feel so uncomfortable. It’s an awkward thing to submit yourself to, then to have a cocky, arrogant person performing the procedure. I hope his medical skill is better than his manners. The entire staff in the procedure room was uptight, so that made me very nervous. Never will I see this arrogant person or go to the BEACON Surgery center in LaPorte. Don’t take the risk. I’m not confident of his findings? Very expensive.
Very unfriendly person. I was having an awkward procedure done and he really made me uncomfortable. I hope his medical skills are better than his bedside manner. I work 70 hours a week and am 62 years old. I was pretty darn insulted when this young man acted like I was trying to avoid work by asking him for a work excuse. I’d never let him do anything for me again. Careful.
Pretty much every interaction has been a headache. First appointment was fine, first blood draw fine and from there on everything went down hill. ---Show up to a colonoscopy to find out I was supposed to have been taking Creon for the last 3 weeks. NO ONE bothered to call to tell me about it! ----The wait for endo was extremly lengthy bc Dr was late. ----Got another blood draw, then after the fact I find out they called in the wrong test. ----I go back to get another blood draw and noone ever called it in!! (I WORK AN 8-5 JOB OUT OF TOWN, I'M MISSING ALOOOT OF WORK FOR THIS. BEING A SINGLE MOM ON ONE INCOME MAKES IT HARD TO MISS WORK, LET ALONE MISSING IT FOR NOTHING!!!!) ---They call it in again, get it done and now have waited 2 1/2 weeks for my results. "I keep getting told I will call you when I get them." ---Not sure which test I called for results and was told "your results are in the Dr.'s mail box but he hasn't opened them so I can not discuss them with you" So in the mean time I have stomach trouble every time I eat, when I don't eat, taking X5 pills with every meal that costs $12 a pill and no-one in the office including the doctor to help me. Glad my insurance is paying over $3000 a month on pills that don't work.
Met Dr. Seth Tatel in the procedure room right before my endoscopy. He seemed ok at first until he brought up my weight and hid I kept my calorie intake under 1500 calories a day then I would lose weight and it would help. I explained to him that I knew this and was trying and was eating less than 1500. He basically called me a liar told me if I was I would have withered away and died already. I have an enlarged thyroid, hyperplasia and a cyst. Last thing I need is a doctor calling me a liar.
I was referred to Michiana Gastro by my family doctor due to GERD we have been unable to get under control. I have spoken with the office and they were wonderful. The pre-op staff at memorial outpatient services was wonderful. Met Dr. Seth Tatel in the procedure room right before my endoscopy. He seemed ok at first until he brought up my weight and said if I kept my calorie intake under 1500 calories a day then I would lose weight and it would help. I explained to him that I knew this and I have been struggling with trying to lose weight despite cutting calories, cutting pop, coffee, energy drinks and not eating after a certain time of day etc...He blantantly told me I wasn't cutting all that stuff out or eating less than 1500 calories a day because if I was I would have already lost a ton of weight and would have withered away by now. He really upset me. I was just recently diagnosed with an enlarged thyroid with nodules on both sides and a goiter on the right side, hyperplasia in my uterus, and a cyst that keeps growing on my left kidney causing blood in my urine and had just recovered from a knee surgery earlier in the year. The last thing I want is a doctor who knows nothing about me other than I was sent for an endoscopy for a specific issue to call me a liar about my diet and how many calories I eat. I'm not very impressed with him and I am supposed to go back in a month to discuss biopsy results. I would rather he just send my biopsy results to my family doctor and let him deal with me. I am not excited about going back to him at all.
Last week. Dr. Tatel saw me for excruciating abdominal pain that comes and goes. He listened to my symptoms and mentioned possibilities causing the pain, some that were not GI related. He ordered a CT scan and the results showed a large cyst. He was able to refer me to an OB/Gyn and I have an appointment next week. Had I just scheduled a colonoscopy, this would have never been found. I'm fortunate that he had an opening for a new patient and that he was so thorough.
This doctor at this hospital is no different from any other individual or business. They want money. They will drain your insurance as fast as possible with excessive generic medication and unnecessary repetitive testing. Seth tatel will lie to your face and you won't notice till the massive hospital bills come in. I cannot and will not pay them. Because of Seth tatel I will likely take my own life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
