Dr. VanderHeyden has a great personality that puts one at ease, listens to concerns and responds appropriately. He’s one of my favorite doctors and is generally on schedule for office calls.

Dr. VanderHeyden is an amazing physician. He provided exceptionally good care with kindness and a level of professionalism that would be hard to beat. He was able to thoroughly explain the procedure, outcome and follow up. I’d recommend him to anyone needing a GI physician.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Vanderheyden for a while now (more than 3 years) and he is always polite, attentive, considerate, and seems genuinely concerned and knowledgeable. On top of all of that, he is always on-time with my appts. I don’t think I’ve ever waited longer than 10 minutes from walking through the front door to him walking in the exam room). I wish I could find a primary care doc like him!

Dr. Vanderheyden is an excellent physician. He literally saved my life. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful demeanor. He always make me feel relaxed at my appointments and procedures. I highly recommend him!

Just moved to Indiana and my doctor ordered my 1 st colonoscopy. Went to Michiana Endoscopy Center. I was a little nervous but Dr Vanderheyden was wonderful. He put me at ease and was friendly and funny. He was just perfect. The procedure was a breeze and I was on my way home so quickly. Thanks to Dr Vanderheyden and the awesome staff at Michiana Endoscopy Center in South Bend.

Dr. was kind & seemed knowledgeable, but office staff is a bit rude & it’s odd when the secretary is explaining your results. Should come from the doctor or nurse.

Never have I had this kind of doctor since mine retired a few years ago. This man cares about his patients and shows this by his actions. He also shows great respect and kindness to the doctors within his office. If only his kindness and respect would rub off on the office staff. Not one of the nicer offices I have run in to in a few years but I can deal with that. It is the doctor that matters.
