I suppose it was a success as my symptoms have abated, but the experience with the hospital and staff was a debacle start to finish. The lack of care and unconcern by the hospital staff was the common theme- from the woman wearing her chin strap checking me in, to the gentleman with a severe essential tremor (Parkinson's?) putting in my IV while lecturing me over HIS chin strap about Fauci and his political views regarding Covid. I felt trapped, threatened, and scared. After the four hour procedure and I went home, no one ever called with a follow up, or to see if I had any questions or if I was still alive. DO NOT GO TO ROYAL OAK BEAUMONT. I had both my babies there and it was great. This was a tragic horse of a different color.

He did not listen to my concerns about previous severe sickness after anesthesia. When I requested the type of anesthesia that I have gotten for recent procedures that worked for me, he dismissed my request by saying, “we don’t use that for this kind of procedure”, even though my sister has the same problem with anesthesia, had the same procedure done two years ago and used the anesthesia that I requested. Not sure if he is just egotistical or lacking in knowledge of newer anesthesia techniques, but his refusal to attend to properly to my concerns resulted in and awful two days of my post op recovery (filled with intense nausea and vomiting). It was borderline inhumane what he did to me. I wouldn’t let this man put my dying dog to sleep.

This doctor has the worst bedside manner in the world. Rude, short, and totally uncaring!I had a pre-surgical consult with another MD - and had already arranged for a spinal with my surgeon, in concurrence with my personal physicial, due to health and personal concerns.This Dr Came in and started harassing me to change my mind - get a "general" and argued with me wanting to know why I wouldn't do a general - instead of a spinal.... made smart remarks about "three hours in recovery room" (turned out less than an hour), wanted to know "my real reasons" for getting a spinal instead of a general....and generally made me a mental MESS before surgery! I finally told him that any more argument, I was putting on my clothing and leaving.interestingly - he never showed up in surgery, an Nurse Anethesist did the procedure (and kindly saved the day )PLUS I got billed over $900 for his five minute harassing, stressful "consult" - plus billed for the NA. double billing - nice practice! Stay away - if you get given this guy - tell him to get out of your face.Needs major retraining in dealing with patients!!!!
