Only time I seen him was 2 minutes before they put me under fir amputation never checked on me after sugery not one piece of info for after sugery w h at to do or anything not even a follow up date for after sugery hospital said they are sending me a wheel chair two weeks ago still don't have it community hospital munster 5th floor don't ever go their and the regular doc that makes rounds daily I seen him 1 time in 6 days no one ever changed the dressing on my foot leaking smelly fluid never changed my sheets and blankets that were drenched in smelly FL u I'd.

Very Professional. Explained to me what was going on, and gave me options to consider. Listened to all my concerns. Looks over your xrays and MRIs personally and gives you his opinion. I went back ready to proceed. Staff compliments him very well professionally! Do not hesitate to go see him with your concerns.

Dr. Spott is very kind, caring, and does a wonderful job explaining what is necessary to help you achieve overall healing. He explains exactly what treatments are needed to make your pain go away. He will go above and beyond to ensure that you are satisfied. He is a great Orthopedic Specialist. I highly recommend him.

He makes sure to inform you of all treatment plans that are available to take care of what is ailing you. I highly recommend him as a Physician.

I had to see a specialist asap for a wrist fracture. I was fortunate enough to get in and be seen by Dr. J.P. Spott the same day I called...AMAZING! I was in pain but scared, because I knew I was facing surgery. Doc explained everything to me with a sense of humor, therefore putting my fears on another plane. His bedside manner should be used as protocol for ALL physicians because in times of stress the patient needs compassion and understanding. I will be having surgery in a few days, and I believe Doc will use his exceptional surgical skills to see to it that I am not maimed and mutilated. (lol). My nerves are at an all time high right now. I've never had to face a surgery like this before, so my anxiety is justifiable. Nevertheless, I feel I am in the best capable hands for Ortho surgery in East Chicago. The saga continues! Dr Spott does not do a good job of explaining what went on at all after a surgery. He won’t inform you on what has happened or what to expect,and has that arrogant “I’m the best Dr.” attitude. He is so rude! He has made myself and my family very uneasy about what is going on with my health. Will I be ok? Will I have to have another surgery? Will my issues be resolved? He doesn’t seem to care at all about anyone’s health and it’s not a big deal to him if people get better or not. He’s there for the money and if the body gets infected, oh well! I have switched Dr.s because of this reason. Do not go to him! I have found a Dr. who truly cares about my injuries and will do whatever it takes to get me healthy and back to work fully!

I limped into his office in pain, and walked out completely pain-free! His office was clean, office staff was friendly and efficient, short wait time, and a very knowledgeable and helpful nurse all added to this 5-star experience. The doctor diagnosed the problem right away, and treated it immediately along with a healthy dose of humor. I would definitely go back should I need orthopaedic treatment again!

He did a cervical fusion on me in 2013. The experience and surgery was just short of awful! He was an hour late for the surgery (which you can't eat or drink before), the nurses were frustrated. He came to my bedside in shorts! After surgery he was not available when I had concerns. I only got to talk to the receptionist. He saw me once, 3 months later. I was told I didnt need a neck brace , even to my father's wake 3 days after the surgery. I am told now that all the metal needs to come out and redone. It is causing more problems. I can't afford another surgery and I am afraid of the outcome.
