List of R Charles Welliver's Reviews
Absolutely the worse practice I have ever encountered in my 79 years. No communication ! Was supposed to be scheduled for a test 1 and 1/2 months ago but nobody has called , despite my calling several times since and still no call. GETTING A PRESCRIPTION REFILLED IS LIKE PULLING TEETH.Go somewhere else...You will be glad you have taken my advice.
I came here for a vasectomy and the entire experience from start to finish was so unbelievably positive. Dr. Welliver was my surgeon and made the initial consultation so much less awkward with his personable and lighthearted attitude. Insurance required a month’s wait before I could get the surgery, which was frustrating but had nothing to do with them. Once scheduled, I was a little confused when they told me they couldn’t tell me what time to come in until the day before surgery. This got in the way of organizing a ride there, so I had to drive myself at 6 in the morning and leave my car there, since I couldn’t drive home myself. A security guard and receptionist were both visibly confused when I showed up and said I had an appointment, which was pretty odd, but they soon realized I was, “on the list.” Still, I couldn’t be happier with my procedure. Every person I interacted with was above and beyond kind and nurturing, which I really needed considering how nervous I was. I was so relieved when offered the option of sedation. When I came to, the hospital had no vegan options to offer (which in 2022 is strange to me), so all I could get was an apple juice. Again, still hard to complain considering how nice and professional everyone who took care of me was. When I finally looked at my balls the next day, I was shocked to see that they’d pulled this off without any blood or bruising! I was led to expect a little of both, but there was NONE.
If I could leave a 0 rating I would. As a nurse for over 20 years I have never seen a physician with such a lack of compassion. Ethically dr Welliver should be ashamed of himself. I understand that doctors can not always fix the issue but they should always have compassion and empathy. Shame on sir. He could not get us out of the office fast enough but I bet we will get charged a pretty penny and he never even did an exam. I don’t know if we interrupted his lunch hour or if he was just having a bad day but Wow I have no other words. Just sad.
Staff is super nice & Dr. Welliver is knowledgeable, professional, and genuine
Without question this is by far the worst office that I consistently have had to deal with. It is a nightmare trying to get prescriptions refilled and the staff is completely rude and uncaring. Every refill is a different nightmare and a different set of hoops to jump through. I’ve been without my necessary medication for weeks now and they will not even refill it because of the mistakes they made by not pulling the right blood test when they sent me to get blood drawn last week last week. The prescription was due the week before that but they couldn’t be bothered to return our calls until last week and then insist on these tests which I’m fine with but now I can’t even go back until next week to take new tests. So it will be essentially a month without my necessary medicine that I’ve had to take for the past 10 years since my battle with cancer. Rude and uncaring is an understatement. Sarah was particularly uncaring. From my brief interaction with this, Sara has no business being in the service side of the business.
I just got off the phone with a staff member at this office. Good lord, she was as abrupt, abrasive, impatient and outright rude as anyone with whom I've ever dealt at a medical practice! I called this office at the request of another clinic; my husband needs some testing done. This person was so toxic that I told her we would not need anything from this place; we would go elsewhere. I can't speak about the doctor himself - he may be fantastic - we'll never know because of his staff.
The nurses and support staff are awful, but judging from the way their boss acts Dr. Welliver I guess I'm not surprised. Dr. Welliver comes to the room not aware of the patient he is seeing, because he starts to ask how I'm doing on a medication he never put me on, and when I mentioned that to him, he just said sorry. then I talked to him about a runological problem he asked me to follow up with my primary care. nasty people in that office will not go back or recommend to anybody

Talking to a doctor about ED is not an easy thing to do. Considering a surgical solution was even more difficult. But five minutes into my first conversation with Dr. Welliver, I was completely at ease discussing this problem that had impacted my life since college, failed to respond to medication, and led me to research inflatable penile implants. Dr. Welliver answered my questions clearly and patiently, set realistic expectations for me about the the procedure and its outcome, and helped me to realize this was the right solution for me. He had plenty of experience and an excellent track record, and he came highly recommended. I trusted him. And considering what I was asking him to do, that trust was very important to me. Five months after surgery, I can say without question that my trust was well placed. The surgery and my recovery both went very smoothly; the results have been nothing short of life-changing. And my positive experience was not limited to Dr. Welliver himself. I was in good hands from start to finish, from scheduling to post-op care. His office staff made the logistics easy to manage — no small feat, considering that I was coming from out of state during the pandemic. The surgical and recovery teams were friendly, professional, and communicative. My pain was well managed, and my recovery time was remarkably short. I am very happy with my decision about the surgery, and with my choice of surgeon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
