Has a 9 a m appointment on1/6/20 for follow up after a procedure in August and get a copy of a prescription from the procedure. . Seen by two attendants in examination room in minutes. Sat until 10:45 with no examination by Dr. Farber, decided to leave, requested copy of prescription 4 times from staff, refused. finally left at 10:55, asked for prescription to be mailed.
he has a problem mentle stupid
Dr. Farber talked me into buying new glasses to replace my 14 month old glasses. He told me I could get a refund if they were not better. I wore them for approx. 3 weeks with no difference. I asked for a refund and was then told of a $75 to 100.00 restocking fee. I said that was unacceptable and felt I had been misled originally. Dr. Farber became very angry and unprofessional as did his staff. I left the office without a refund. I have never seen purported professionals act so unprofessionally.
I had two appointments with Dr. Farber approximately 6 months apart. I was and am still having issues with double vision and shadow images. At the first examination he suggested new glasses although he stated that my prescription/vision "had not really changed that much" compared to my current glasses. I declined to purchase glasses from him. My current glasses were approximately 14 months old, purchased from a different, unassociated doctor. At the next examination Dr. Farber once again suggested new glasses. I was very reluctant because I did not think new glasses would correct the double vision or shadow images. I asked Dr. Farber that if I purchased glasses from him and I did not see any better could I get my money back and he replied yes. I assumed that, as a purported professional, he would stand by his word. I wore the Dr. Farber glasses for three weeks to allow ample time to adjust to said glasses. I did not notice any improvement from my previous glasses. I went to Dr. Farber to return the glasses. Dr. Farber's staff examined me in the "new" glasses and my "old" glasses with no discernable difference. I was then told there would be a $75.00 to $100.00 restocking fee. I said that was unacceptable, especially since Dr. Farber did not tell me that when he convinced me to try his glasses. Had he told me that I would never have bought new glasses. Dr. Farber then examined me in my "new" and "old" glasses and told me I could get a refund with a $75.00 to $100.00 restocking fee. I once again said that was unacceptable. I told him I felt he misled me by not disclosing restocking fees when I asked if I could get my money back as I would not have bought new glasses. Dr. Farber then became very angry and rude, threatening to call the police to have me removed from his office. I have NEVER seen someone who calls themselves a professional act in such an unprofessional manner. Dr. Farber's staff also became very rude and unprofessional. I left the office without a refund.

The staff helped me source nose pads for specialty glasses that I purchased several years ago. They were nice enough to have them shipped directly to my new address out of state.
What kind of eye doctor charges $25 for cardboard solar eclipse glasses. Greedy. If he truly cared about peoples eyes he'd give them away like other decent people did.
Can't believe how greedy and arrogant this physician is. Not very disrespectful knowledgeable. I'll just go back to eyemart they are more knowledgeable and less greedy
Selfish doctor. Over charges. Not helpful at all.
I appreciate his gentle manner and skillful surgical proficiency. I could not see until he did my cataract surgeries and although there were some difficulties, I am now able to read again. My life has changed for the better. I am delighted with my end results. I think Dr. Farber is a wonderful physician in his specialty.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
